PLAYERS: Kevin Kolb
TEAMS: Arizona Cardinals
According to Dan Arkush of ProFootballWeekly.com, Kevin Kolb is expected to be the Arizona Cardinals’ starting quarterback when he’s healthy enough to play. As far as the Cardinals’ uncertain QB situation is concerned, word is that Kevin Kolb will return to the starting lineup as soon as he is considered fully recovered from the damaged ribs that have forced him to miss the last four games — which we hear is likely to be Arizona’s Week 13 game against the Jets. “He’s getting more zip on his passes and making progress in practice,” the insider said of Kolb. “I think they will go back to him. They still have to see what they’ve got in him. They played their best football when he was under center. He was efficient, and in control. “It was good to see what he could do in a stretch of 4-5 games.” Kolb didn’t look that bad earlier in the season when the Cardinals were pulling off some wins.  If he had an offensive line, he would be turning more heads.   var _CI = _CI || {}; (function

Arizona Cardinals clearly have no plan for the future at QB

It has been no secret that the Arizona Cardinals have had a quarterback competition all year long.  Although John Skelton was named the Week 1 starter, soon he and Kevin Kolb began battling injuries and it became a week-to-week decision on who would start at quarterback.  Now that the season in past the mid-point and the Cardinals are on their third quarterback of the year, Ryan...

Ken Whisenhunt: Coaches are reminded about red flag rule before every game

This quote from Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt certainly makes it look pretty bad for Lions HC Jim Schwartz. “They make a point of telling you before the game, on turnovers and scoring plays, you can’t throw the flag,” Whisenhunt said, via Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic. Good ole Schwartzee must have been blinded by rage at what he saw on the field. He...

Cardinals Likely To Limit Beanie Wells Workload Against The Rams

Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt indicated that they plan on limiting RB Beanie Wells’ workload against the Rams this weekend. “I think you got to get a feel for it,” said Whisenhunt, via AzCardinals.com. “I certainly don’t think he’s going to get an overload of work … There’s going to be a little bit of a curve with him adjusting to the game.” Considering...

The Cardinals have to figure out their QB situation this offseason. Week 12 preview.

If anyone doubts the importance of a quality starting QB being the key to success in the NFL, look at the Cardinals. Rams, Cardinals square off in the desert

(AP) -- The Arizona Cardinals haven't been the same since they faced the St. Louis Rams back in October. Now Arizona will likely look very different. Rams look to stop their free fall against Cards

Two teams, two nosedives. One will pop a parachute. The other will whisper the Rosary.
