Since taking over as Men's Basketball Coach at St. John's University, Steve Lavin has not only been a fan-favorite, but a key member in the Big Apple community.

For the second straight year, the Lavin-endorsed "Dribble For a Cure" event will make its way to the St. John's University campus, taking place this coming Saturday morning, September 22nd.

As if supporting the great cause and honoring those who suffer from and/or have conquered cancer in the past isn't enough, Knicks fans are receiving a bit of extra incentive this year.

Knickerbocker legend John Starks will indeed be on campus Saturday, joining a bevy of coaches and student-athletes as they all come together, doing their part to fight the horrific disease. Since putting an end to his playing days, Starks too has made an effort to remain a very present figure in the community when it comes to worthy causes. This weekend will be no different.

Interested in contributing and/or attending? Perhaps you'll have the opportunity to meet the Knicks fan-favorite in the process! You can venture off to this link here to find out more about how you can help and participate on Saturday.
