Hearing: Knicks can only offer minimum, but I’m told they’re trying hard to convince free-agent PG Beno Udrih to take it and come to NYC — Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) July 31, 2013   Knickswag Notes: The New York Knicks are kicking the tires on every player in the league it seems like. Next up is Beno Udrih. Beno is a 6’3″ 200 pound PG from the Yugoslavia. He is in his 9th year in the NBA and has played for numerous teams. Last year for the Bucks/Magic he averaged over 8.2 points and 4.6 assists in 22 minutes of play. Beno is known as a very good passer and has a great handle for the game. He is a “push the pace PG” who  could really help this team. If the Knicks could convince him to take a veterans minimum deal, NY would be getting a steal for their 3rd string PG. Stay tuned! Why Toure Murry and Jeremy Tyler Should Make The Knicks Roster

The New York Knicks currently have 12 of their 15 roster spots full heading into training camp. Last season the Knicks went into camp with a full roster of 15 members and we should expect the same in the 2013-2014 season. With three spots left, which players should fill them? Carmelo Anthony: Andrea Bargnani trade was a ‘steal’ for New York Knicks

The New York Knicks made a fairly significant splash earlier this offseason when they acquired Andrea Bargnani from the Toronto Raptors. Melo won’t commit to Knicks for long-term

While Carmelo Anthony praised the Knicks offseason moves saying the Andrea Bargnani trade was a “steal for us’’ he stopped short of predicting he and the Knicks would have a long marriage.
