In my other articles about Earl Barron, I have written about his chances to be on this team. The truth is that New York is in need of a center to back up Tyson and the rest of the frontcourt. If Earl is signed he most likely will not see much playing time, but in this little time he has proven in NY that he can rebound, shoot and bring that intensity that the New York Knicks need in the middle. Could Earl be that guy? He might well be. With one last spot available on the team, NY is in need of a veteran center. It would be wise for them to use that spot on Earl Barron. With players like K-Mart, Stat, Barg’s, Tyler on the frontcourt, there is little height and length that could back up Tyson. Earl Barron could give the Knicks depth, veteran leadership and maturity at the 15th spot on this roster. His addition would solidify a solid offseason.
