Kobe Bryant was the top player in High School in the Mid 1990s but he was free to go straight to the NBA, unlike players in today’s game. So Bryant always get the question asked to him if he had to college where would he go.
Kobe has hinted that Duke would have been his top choice. Bryant has a great relationship with Mike Krzyzewski. Well on Thursday night Bryant said during his event “Kobe Up Close Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel” , which raises his money for his Foundation.
There he told Eric Pincus of the LA Times, that he would likely have went to play for North Carolina
Defying the urban legend that he was Duke-bound, had he gone to college instead of the NBA straight out of high school, Bryant said he was leaning toward North Carolina. “I love [Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski],” Bryant said. “The truth has to come out.”
