Sometimes we get Funny Kobe, Honest Kobe, Vulgar Kobe and today we get Thug Kobe. While speaking to Jim Rome about the Mike Rice situation, here is what he had to say.

This is grown man Kobe talking of course. Who knows what he would have done when he was 20 years old. Chris Childs doesn’t think Mike Rice should be that worried.

It is easy to say what you would do if you were in the Rutgers players' place, but I doubt most would have done anything except take the abuse. It was a cultural thing—players play and coaches yell. Mike Rice took it to the extreme, and hopefully what happened to him will stop future coaches from bullying their players.

Kobe Bryant Bestows New Nickname on Metta World Peace

I feel like the Lakers, Kobe especially, just toss around new nicknames a little too flippantly. The latest nickname to surface is one which Kobe is giving to Metta World Peace, who is set to possibly make a comeback to the court Tuesday night when the Lakers play New Orleans. The fact that Metta is set to return already, is actually worthy of a new nickname. According to the LA...

A Rutgers University lawyer resigned Thursday amid growing anger that he was still employed by the school after approving a decision in December to suspend rather than fire basketball coach Mike Rice after becoming aware of a video showing the coach hitting, kicking and taunting players. Did Mike Rice have any bright shining moments?

Apparently not. Rutgers finally canned him, but he will live in infamy.

Kobe Bryant: ‘I would have smacked the hell out of Mike Rice’ (Video)

There have been a number of different reactions to the video clips that surfaced last week of former Rutgers men’s basketball coach Mike Rice physically and verbally abusing his players. One of Rice’s former players, Mike Coburn, said that Rice took it too far at times but that the team understood him. Chipper Jones said he thought the players should toughen up and that he has...

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Kobe Bryant scored a season-high 47 points and the Los Angeles Lakers pulled closer to a playoff berth with a 113-106 victory over the short-handed Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night. The Lakers moved a game up on the Utah Jazz for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Portland, missing the playoffs for the second straight season...

It All Comes Down to 5

One positive thing going for the Lakers should they make it to the playoffs is no team will worry about the Lakers beating them in a 7-game series. But that doesn't necessarily give the Lakers an automatic edge over their opponent considering that this team is still having a tough time comprehending the importance of winning every game in order to even plan on what they...

San Antonio Spurs: Is The West’s 2nd Seed Actually Better?

Fans of the San Antonio Spurs may be scared that they may lose their hold on the 1st seed in the Western Conference playoffs. But there is a question they should ask themselves. Would they rather face a young, run and gun Houston Rockets team with a poor defense and a turnover prone offense, or a team sporting four future Hall of Famers? Sure the Los Angeles Lakers have not looked...

Metta World Peace is the bionic man. Less than two weeks ago, it looked like World Peace’s season with the Los Angeles Lakers would be over. He had surgery on March 28 to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee, and reports said he would be out six weeks. But it looks like World Peace may return for the team’s Tuesday game against the New Orleans Hornets, just 12 days after...
