Despite another horrific performance on Sunday night, Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said that Matt Schaub is still their starting quarterback even though he was benched in favor of T.J Yates when the game got out of hand.

As much as Houston fans would love to see Schaub go away, he still gives them the best chance to win right now.

Matt Schaub has taken a few blows lately, especially after recording his fourth straight game with a pick six during the Texans' lopsided loss to the 49ers.
Before pick No. 4 was in the record books, one Houston restaurant decided to joke about Schaub's streak by creating a "Matt Schaub Special." It included a burger with the customer's "pick" of...
According to CBS Houston, Texans fans approached quarterback Matt Schaub’s house and told him off because of how poorly he’s been playing lately.
“A fan went to his house and told him off,” said the source, adding that another person “took pictures of his family,” which were allegedly posted on Facebook. Fortunately, neither Schaub nor anyone in his family was hurt...
According to a report via Fred Davis of CBS Houston, Houston Texans starting quarterback Matt Schaub, was the victim of verbal abuse by irate fans on Tuesday evening. The Houston Police were notified by the NFL, but no arrests were made.
Schaub, who has struggled mightily with the Texans this season, throwing a pick-six in four consecutive games, was believed to have notified...
It has been a rough season for Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub. After last week's poor showing against the San Francisco 49ers he has the dubious distinction of being the only quarterback in NFL history to have an interception returned for a touchdown in four consecutive games.
Apparently some so-called fans decided they needed to tell him how unhappy they were with...
A few Houston Texans fans took their anger toward Matt Schaub way too far on Tuesday night by reportedly showing up at his house in a scary moment for the quarterback and his family.
According to Sports Radio 610 (h/t CBS Houston), two fans came to his house and “berated him for his recent poor play.”
A source told the Fred and Ted Show that a fan “went to his house and told...
It’s one thing to burn a player’s jersey out of frustration or boo him or clamor for him to be benched. It’s entirely another to track him down at his home at berate him and invade his private life. Sadly, that’s reportedly what a few Houston Texans fans did to beleaguered quarterback Matt Schaub.A source close to law enforcement told The Fred and Ted Show late Tuesday evening...
Matt Schaub threw two interceptions to Tramaine Brock, including one returned for a touchdown for a fourth straight game, and the San Francisco 49ers led the Houston Texans 21-0 at halftime Sunday night.
Brock stepped in front of Andre Johnson to intercept Schaub's first pass and ran 18 yards untouched into the end zone before most fans had even settled into their seats on a...
Late in Sunday night’s game between the Houston Texans and the San Francisco 49ers, Texans head coach Gary Kubiak pulled the plug on quarterback Matt Schaub’s three interception performance. Although T.J. Yates saw some playing time, it wasn’t a permanent move. Still, it’s no surprise that quarterback controversy is creeping into Houston.
Following three straight losses...

"You're not, you're not good, Al. You stink." Serendipitously, this moment in Caddyshack was on TV immediately following Matt Schaub's historic performance last night. Is "historic" the word I'm looking for?
It's easy to pile on Schaub today after the Houston quarterback's latest football faux pas (19-for-35, 173 yards, three interceptions...
Gary Kubiak said TE Owen Daniels, the team’s 2nd-leading receiver, is getting an MRI today on his fibula. He had no other news bout it.

Houston Texans starting tight end Owen Daniels will have an MRI on his fibula which he injured during Sunday night’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. Despite this injury, Daniels played...
Here’s another tough blow to Matt Schaub’s already shaken confidence.
ESPN.com is reporting that Texans tight end Owen Daniels will likely to miss four to six weeks after he suffered a non-displaced fibula fracture late in Sunday night’s game against the 49ers.
Daniels is tied for the team lead in touchdowns, and probably the only person Matt Schaub can get the ball to right now.
It's as though they're becoming smarter as the season wears on. This was easily the least stupid week thus far in 2013. Thank goodness for the NFC East.
The stupidest pick six, considering the circumstances
I hate to pile on Matt Schaub, but when you've become a pick six goat this season, I don't know how you throw this pass on the very first series against...
What is it with quarterbacks in Texas? Last week Matt Schaub threw a game tying interception against Houston and subsequently crapped the bed in San Francisco on Sunday night. This week it was the NFL’s favourite whipping boy Tony Romo who, despite a career day, managed to revert to form and throw an interception that cost his team a game. A storyline that is all too familiar for...
As Week 5 in the NFL came to a close last night, it’s time to take a look at the best and worst performers from the weekend.
Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys – 25/36, 506 yards, 5 TD, INT
Romo is catching a lot of flack this week, despite setting a single-game career high for passing yards. His interception at the 2 minute warning in the 4th quarter led to the game winning field...
