Kurt deserves a high five after his performance last nightLast night was a bit of a coming out party for Kurt Suzuki offensively, for this season. He had struggled mightily so far this April, hitting in around .200 with 0 home runs and 1 run batted in. So when Mark Buehrle had a no hitter going into the top of the sixth I did not expect Kurt Suzuki to be the one to break it up with a base hit. What shocked me even more was in the bottom of the tenth with two outs and two strikes on him Kurt hit the game winning solo home run. He hit it off of Jesse Crain, who was making the A’s hitters look like minor leaguers until that point with a great breaking ball. To be fair so far this season it has not been difficult to make the A’s offense look like minor leaguers. It was the first game where I, as a fan, was actually aware that Kurt was in the line up.
