Pass The Pill:
In his short time in the league, Kyrie Irving has proven to be quite the player for the Cleveland Cavaliers. After only one limited season at Duke, some had doubts about how he could translate into the NBA. While parts of his game certainly need fine tuning, it looks like the Cavs got a very nice point guard with their number one overall pick.
We also know that Kyrie Irving is very good at pick-up basketball, much like most professional NBA players. We’ve seen this in his Uncle Drew videos, where Irving dresses up as an old man only to trick some youngsters at the park at how good he really is.
He decided not to dress up this time, but Kyrie still showed some serious skill in this pick-up game at Montclair State University. You can watch the clips below:
It’s never fair to the amateur guys who have to go up against the professionals, but it’s still fun to watch.
I guess these guys need something to keep them entertained during the offseason, right? Maybe Brook Lopez can take notes.

BEST OF MAXIM
Big tip of the cap to Inside Hoops.com for this video from Montclair State University in New Jersey, home of the Red Hawks. Kyrie Irving was involved in a game or two of pick-up basketball on campus yesterday it appears. The video is mostly of Kyrie draining long range jumpers over would be defenders, but at the end we see something rarely on display from the Cavaliers’ most recent...
The season is over for the Cavaliers but that hasn't stopped Kyrie Irving from getting back on the court.
Irving was at the Montclair State University basketball court and jumped in on a pick up game and from the looks of things, it seems no one could stop him.
From turn around jumpers, spectacular dribbling to dunks and dunks and more dunks, Kyrie put on a show for...
Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers is an NBA superstar in the making. He finished the 2012-13 season averaging 22.…
Record: 24-58- 13th in East- 28th in NBA
Review: The Cleveland Cavaliers finished with a very poor record, but remember, Kyrie Irving missed 23 games, Anderson Varejao missed 57 games, Dion Waiters missed 21 games and numerous other players missed time. If healthy, they still probably would not have made the playoffs, but they would have been a much better team...
As a recreational basketball player and an NBA fan, I’ve always dreamed of testing my skills in real life against players from the highest level. A group of college students at Montclair State in New Jersey got that chance this week when Cleveland Cavaliers all-star Kyrie Irving showed up to an open gym on campus.
Irving, who grew up in New Jersey, did not take it easy on his opponents...
New coach, new philosophy, and most likely, some new personnel.
Thats what the Cavaliers face as they enter their first offseason in the era of Mike Brown 2.0. Brown is a defense-first leader, a man who believes every opposing possession should be a grind.
Not everyone on the Cavs current roster fits such a profile, and thats OK. Every successful team has a wide range of individual...
For my entire archive of The Diff at WFNY, check out this tag. Last week’s edition tackled an aggregate of 60 mock drafts from around the Internet, which obviously didn’t prove that fruitful when the Browns took Barkevious Mingo (projected by only 3 mock drafts). Oh well.
Back in my second-ever version of The Diff, on Jan. 23, I wrote over 3,000 words on six specific franchise...
