Score: No 5 Louisville 82, No 1 Baylor 81 Star: Louisville: Shoni Schimmel 22 Pts, 1 Reb, 2 Ast, 3 Stl. Baylor: Odyessy Sims 29 Pts, 10 Reb, 5 Ast, 6 Stl It was certainly a night for Louisville basketball.  The Louisville women beat Baylor. Baylor the top overall seed. Baylor with Britney Griner, who is NBA material. Not WBNA, NBA. Baylor with a 32-game win streak.  The Cardinals led for almost the entire game, until the final minutes. Earlier, the deficit was large, even by as much as 19. But in the last few minutes, No. 1 seeded Baylor came back. Two of Louisville’s best ball handlers would foul out, and a third Cardinal soon followed. Baylor’s Odyssey Sims hit a three to get Baylor within one point, 80-79.  Then Baylor got called with the charge, and Louisville got the ball. The inbound was stolen by Sims, who drove the ball and drew the foul. Both free throws were made, and Baylor had its first lead of the game. Louisville’s Monique Reid took it all the way to the other end and was fouled. The senior made both, the final points of the game. Louisville pulled off one of the most major tournament upsets ever, and will continue to dance.  Louisville’s Shoni Schimmel woman up aka man-up to Baylor’s Brintey Griner last night before fouling out. twitter.com/cvsports/statu… — Clarence Varnado III (@cvsports) April 1, 2013
