It seems that the Los Angeles Lakers are still searching for players who could help their team next season. According to HoopsHype, the Lakers brought in Gary Forbes to workout for them today: Free agent forward Gary Forbes is working out for the Los Angeles Lakers today, one source told HoopsHype. http://t.co/jD1a1drxJJ— HoopsHype (@hoopshype) August 13, 2013 The 28-year-old Forbes is a 6’7″ small forward who last played in the NBA during the 2011-12 season when he suited up for the Toronto Raptors. Forbes averaged 6.6 points and 2.1 rebounds in 14.9 minutes per game that year. He also shot just under 35% from three-point range. It’s unclear at this time whether the Lakers would be willing to offer Forbes a guaranteed contract or just sign him up as a regular camp invite – that’s if they still have any interest in him, of course. Forbes will also workout for the Knicks next week, according to the report. H/T to Hoops Rumors

Jim Buss on Dwight Howard: 'He was never really a Laker'
