The Sacramento Kings and Carl Landry have agreed to a four-year deal worth at least $26 million that will bring the power forward back to California's capital city.
Landry's agent, Mark Bartelstein, said Saturday that final details of the contract were still being worked out and it could reach $27 million over the life of the deal. He says Landry is excited to return to Sacramento under new owner Vivek Ranadive, who bought the franchise from the Maloof family in May.
Landry played parts of the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons with the Kings. He opted out of the final year of his two-year, $8 million deal with Golden State last month to become a free agent.
The 29-year-old averaged 10.8 points and six rebounds in 23.2 minutes off the bench to help the Warriors reach the second round of the playoffs last season.

With the entire Dwightmare circus over with, the Warriors came out on top. No, they didn’t sign Howard, they avoided that entire mess, and went after forward Andre Iguodala. They locked up the former Denver Nugget for four years and $48 million. Today, two great and good things happened for the Golden State Warriors.First, they "lost" in the Dwight Howard sweepstakes.Second, they acquired Andre Iguodala.Let's get into each in turn.Howard, on paper, looks like a great fit for the Warriors. He was the most dynamic shot blocker available, not yet old, someone who has been to the...
The Pelicans now have a log jam at shooting guard. Are they done making trades?
If you’re a Jazz fan – and I know dozens of you are – you must feel indifferent, bordering on medium, that your team just acquired most of the Golden State Warriors. But just the uninteresting ones. You did get 2 first round picks though, including one next year, which should help at least somewhat. I’m just so happy that I get to write a post that has nothing to do with...

During the past week, it had been reported that the New Orleans Pelicans were interested in the Sacramento Kings’ restricted free agent shooting guard Tyreke Evans and that he had agreed to sign a 4 year, $44M offer sheet with the team, which the Kings would not be comfortable matching.
Well it turns out that the Kings were very uncomfortable with the idea of...
