Cincinnati Bengals: Dalton turning the page against New England

When it comes to scrutiny and fan criticism, no other professional sports position experiences the sheer volume that the NFL quarterback gets every week. Managers will always be second guessed, and the players will fail to live up to expectations because fans are accustomed to regurgitating the numbers of the legends in sports as par for the game. For Cincinnati Bengals’ quarterback...

What's wrong with the Cincinnati Bengals?

The 2013 NFL season has been, well, strange to this point. Of all the teams in the league, the Bengals have been among the most confusing teams. After losing a thriller to the Bears in week one, the Bengals handled the Steelers relatively easily and narrowly topped the Packers in week three. Then, last weekend, the Browns, a team most had left for dead after week two, shut down the...

The Patriots have a tough road match-up against the Bengals. Week 5 picks.

The Patriots are still trying to find their stride on offense with key players out.  The Bengals need to step-up this season if they want to win their division. After a rough Week 3 we were able to get back on track with a 12-3 week 4 performance.  That puts us at 48-15 for the season, better than all of the ESPN Experts. Week 5 is gives us some more tough match-ups.  Let...

Cincinnati Bengals face tough test after disappointing loss

After four weeks of regular season play, you could say that the Cincinnati Bengals (2-2) are where they were expected to be-in first place atop the AFC North. The only problem is that instead of earning their current position by dominating the competition as many had expected, the Bengals find themselves locked in a three-way tie for first with the

NFL Shop confuses the Bengals with the Browns

Today a day after the Cleveland Browns took over first place in the AFC North with a win against Buffalo, the fans receieved a surprising email. That email came from the NFL Shop, and what a mess up it was: Even Darren Rovell took a shot at them. @darrenrovell: NFL Shop this morning sends email […]

Cincinnati Bengals: First quarter review

Fans of the Cincinnati Bengals have a lot to be vexed about after the first quarter of the 2013 year has passed with an upsetting 17-6 loss to the Cleveland Browns at FirstEnergy stadium last Sunday. After four games and a 2-2 record with a 1-1 split in the AFC North, there are certain intangibles that seem to be missing from the ’13 squad compared to the 2012 team that dominated...

New England Patriots at Cincinnati Bengals: 2013 Week 5 NFL Pick

New England Patriots (4-0) at Cincinnati Bengals (2-2) In 2011 and 2012, the Bengals were 18-4 against non-playoff teams and 1-11 against playoff teams. However, I think this is the most talented Bengals team of the three so when they beat the Packers, despite losing the turnover battle, I felt they had turned a corner and gotten their signature win. Of course, last week they turned...

Cincinnati has a number of talented offensive players for Bill Belichick’s defense to prepare for, including elite wide receiver A.J. Green. The former No. 4 overall draft pick is considered as one of the game’s best...

A.J. Green Presents Similar Challenges to Patriots as Julio Jones, Though Aqib Talib Won’t Compare Two Wideouts

FOXBORO, Mass. — For the second straight week, the Patriots will be facing a top 5 wide receiver. Julio Jones was the No. 1 concern last week when New England traveled to Atlanta. Now, in Week 5, the player taken two spots ahead of Jones in the 2011 NFL draft will be the Patriots’ biggest challenge. A.J. Green is the top threat in the Bengals’ offense. Fortunately for New...

Bengals list Hall doubtful, Johnson questionable

Cornerback Leon Hall is listed as doubtful and defensive end Michael Johnson is questionable to play Sunday for the Bengals against quarterback Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Hall suffered a hamstring injury in the 34-30 win against Green Bay on Sept. 22 and hadn't practiced since until getting on the field Friday in a limited basis. The Bengals' injury report still...
