Former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Matt Nordgren is reportedly dating troubled actress Lindsay Lohan. Nordgren backed up Vince Young at the University of Texas, spent a few weeks on the Eagles roster before being released in the summer of 2006. Nordgren told Page Six of the New York Post that he and Lohan have “hung out” but that they have been friends for about seven years. The same story claims Nordgren has been telling people the two are dating. He told the Post: “She’s completely sober for months now. She’s in a great place, she’s thinking clear and working hard and meeting with all the right people.” E! Online has a source quoted as saying, “they have a history of hooking up.” Nordgren is certainly no stranger to pseudo-celebrity hook-ups. He was the star of the reality show “Most Eligible Dallas” and has apparently previously been linked to “The Bachelor” winner Vienna Girardi and Audrina Patridge of “The Hills.” So good for Matt Nordgren, I g...

Chip Kelly pulled Vick for a play because he didn’t know NFL rule

Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly is still a rookie. While his offense looks like it could stick, he has coached only two games at the NFL level. Because of that, Chip is still learning. In the fourth quarter of the Eagles’ loss to the San Diego Chargers on Sunday, Michael Vick was drilled by Chargers […]

Philadelphia Eagles Defense Takes the Up Tempo Out of Chip Kelly

The entire premise of Chip Kelly’s up-tempo offense is all about offensive numbers. How many offensive snaps can be called, how quickly can the offense return to the line, and most importantly, how quickly can the offense produce points. Chip Kelly has the personnel to run the up-tempo offense […]The post Philadelphia Eagles Defense Takes the Up Tempo Out of Chip Kelly appeared...

Eagles D will be asking a lot of Michael Vick this year, so far he's up to the challenge

The biggest take away for me this week concerns the Philadelphia offense for the second week running. Against the Chargers the offense was impressive yet again, with Michael Vick passing for 428 yards and the team adding 89 on the ground. The defense, however, struggled failing to contain their opponent for the second consecutive week. Philadelphia will be putting a lot on the shoulders...

Chip Kelly wants to push the envelope, help referees by giving them the ball

Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly wants to quicken his already high octane offense by helping out the officials. It's common for a player to be tackled and just toss or roll the ball, forcing the referee to go chasing it. Well, that time the referees is chasing is time Kelly wants to run more plays, so he's telling his players, 'give the ref the damn ball.'

How Long Will Eagles Defensive Inconsistencies Drag Them Down?

After opening the season with two dominant quarters, the Eagles defense seem to have showed their true colors over the last six quarters. Against the Redskins, they had a large lead and shifted towards a “let’s try not to blow this” mentality. Against the Chargers, they were horrific from beginning to end. Just how bad were they on Sunday? I think this tweet sums it up...

The Curious Case Of Vinny Curry

(Image courtesy of Philly.com) Vinny Curry is a Philadelphian. Curry grew up in Neptune, New Jersey, just a little over an hour outside of Philadelphia. Curry grew up an Eagles fan. Kelly admits he messed up injury rule

Chip Kelly is learning the NFL rule book on the job. The do-it-his-way coach didn't think he could use a timeout to allow a banged-up Michael Vick to stay in the game during an important moment in the Philadelphia Eagles' 33-30 loss to San Diego Chargers to Sunday. Upon further review, Kelly learned he was wrong. ''That's on me. I didn't think we could...

Eagles Defense: Are We In For A Long Season?

After opening the season with two dominant quarters, the Eagles defense seem to have showed their true colors over the last six quarters. Michael Vick Throws 61 Yard Bomb To DeSean Jackson For TD (GIF)

DeSean Jackson is playing like it’s a contract year. Jackson, who has been paid all of his guaranteed money, could be released for minimal cap hit if he doesn’t perform.  DeSean has 14 catches for 262 yards and two touchdowns in first two games. He got the hint.

News, Notes, and Injury Report

The Eagles let a game slip away to the San Diego Chargers yesterday afternoon in South Philadelphia. Despite another outrageous offensive performance that saw the Eagles total 511 yards, the team was let down by a struggling defense. Here are your Eagles day after news, notes, and injury report. The Eagles Are Who We Thought They Were

Eagles 30, Chargers 33, Sunday, September 15, 2013 After week one, we were all like: “Hey! Maybe the Eagles D isn’t too bad!” Nope. Turns out, the Skins are just that bad this year. Stud of the week: Michael Vick, clearly, who had a career day with 428 yards, two thrown TDs, one run TD, and no turnovers. DJax had a good day, too, as did Shady, with a career receiving day...

Report: Eagles almost traded for Colin Kaepernick

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter via ProFootballTalk.com,  the Philadelphia Eagles almost acquired Colin Kaepernick in a trade with the 49ers that would have sent a second round pick to San Francisco prior to the 2012 NFL draft. Because Alex Smith had a strong year in 2011, after Kaepernick had been drafted, the 49ers reportedly were willing to move him.  Schefter says the Eagles...
