For the first time in seven years, the Detroit Lions have taken defensive players with their first two draft picks.
After selecting defensive end Ziggy Ansah in Thursdays first round, the Lions came back Friday and went with Mississippi State cornerback Darius Slay.
The biggest question about Slay right now is a knee injury that could keep him out for the start of training camp.
Slay, who is 6-foot, 192 pounds, ran the 40-yard dash in 4.36 seconds at the NFL Scouting Combine.
