Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that former Bills S George Wilson already has visits scheduled with the Detroit Lions and the Tennessee Titans. La Canfora adds that more visits could be scheduled in the coming days. Wilson, 32, was released by the Bills earlier in the week, but considering that he was rated as the No. 8 safety in the league by Pro Football Focus, it’s honestly not that surprising that NFL teams are pursuing him. Both Detroit and Tennessee could really use some help at safety and Wilson provides very solid cover skills and leadership at, what should be, a reasonable price. I’m sure we’ll have more regarding Wilson’s next team in the coming days. The post Lions & Titans Options For Free Agents Safety George Wilson appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.

George Wilson Trades in His Playbook One Last Time

George Wilson is cut, and that makes me simultaneously kind of sad and really excited. It’s sad because Wilson was a well documented model citizen and good guy in the community making sure not to steal tips while dining Applebees when he wasn’t building a playground or whatever. In a world first of me first GLOREEE BOYS, he was exactly how you wanted a player to handle himself...

The Curious Case of Jason La Canfora’s Disappearing Tweets

There was great volume of high-pitched conversation about the Capitals taking place late last Thursday night, near the end of the Penguins’ 5-2 seal-clubbing of the Caps, and the most intriguing of it emanated from the Twitter feed of former Washington Post and Capitals reporter Jason La Canfora. La Canfora, who covers the NFL today, spent 10 years at the Post, on the Skins beat...

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports writes that even though Percy Harvin is a legitimate difference maker, the Minnesota Vikings are unlikely to get “fair value” in return for him. McClain, Heyward-Bey could become cap casualties for the Raiders

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, with the Oakland Raiders currently $12 million over the 2013 salary cap, they could end up releasing both wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey and linebacker Rolando McClain. Heyward-Bey is scheduled to make over $7 million in 2013, while McClain is set to earn over $4 million. I could see the Raiders dumping McClain because of his off the...
