The temperature is starting to drop in many regions of the country, but AskMen.com turned up the heat by releasing its Top 99 Women of 2013 list. The list — which determines the most desirable women of the upcoming year — was decided by combining the votes submitted by AskMen.com’s staff and those submitted by the website’s newsletter subscribers. Most of the women on the list are models, actresses or musicians, but there’s also a good amount of athletes, which is something we’ve seen in recent years. Sports are so often at the forefront of the news, so it isn’t exactly shocking that athletes would pop up on the list. After all, there are plenty of guys out there who might watch a sport they otherwise wouldn’t because a female athlete might pique their interest. And even if such gentlemen aren’t tuning in, the female athletes’ names are at least recognizable, and it’s undeniable that sex appeal somewhat contributes to that. Below is a look at the athletes who appeared on the 2013 version of the list, along with their rankings. It should also be noted that a number of WAGS appeared on the list as well, and that actress Jennifer Lawrence came in at No. 1.
