In the last 48 hours the rumors have been flying about Louisville looking to add a huge non-conference game to their schedule next season. There has been some talk that Louisville and Alabama could potentially kickoff the college football season in 2013 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX.
It sounds like this thing is still the early stages of even being seriously discussed, but I’ve heard that there is some truth to the idea. Two different people who covered the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans tell me that prior to the game, folks from ESPN and UofL discussed the idea with optimism. That certainly doesn’t mean that it will happen, but with the amount of buzz that Louisville has right now, it’s certainly an attractive idea.
