The Michigan State volleyball team overcame a first set loss to beat Arizona, 3-1 in the NCAA Tournament First Round in Austin, Texas. The Spartans (22-11) were led by 22 kills from senior Kyndra Abron and advance to face either No. 1 Texas or Texas State in tomorrow's NCAA Second Round at 8 p.m. ET.

Four players had a goal and an assist and senior blueliner Matt Crandell had three helpers as No. 16 MSU downed Bowling Green, 5-1, in the first game of a two-game set at Munn Ice Arena. The Spartans improve to 9-5-1, ( 5-4-0 CCHA), and are unbeaten in their last three games. Drew Palmisano made 21 saves.
