Five weeks ago, Texas fans weren’t very happy with head coach Mack Brown. The Longhorns were 1-2 on the season after losses to BYU and Ole Miss, and there weren’t many reasons to think the team would turn things around in conference play. But here we are over a month later, with Texas 4-0 in conference play and playing its best football of the season. And Mack Brown loves his team’s chances to win the conference moving forward, even if the Longhorns were to drop a game:

This isn’t Mack’s first rodeo, so he understands that teams always stumble, even when they theoretically shouldn’t. He’s focused on getting his team through its final, brutal stretch: at West Virginia, home against Oklahoma State and Texas Tech, followed by a trip to Waco against Baylor to close conference play.
