Despite being short-handed for weeks, the Chicago Bulls have remained in contention for home-court advantage in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
After earning a key win in that race last time out, the Bulls will try to take advantage of a visit from the lowly Orlando Magic on Friday night.
The Bulls had five players inactive Thursday but managed to earn a 92-90 win at Brooklyn that moved them within 1 1/2 games of the fourth-place Nets.
Carlos Boozer led the way with 29 points and 18 rebounds while Derrick Rose (knee), Joakim Noah (foot), Taj Gibson (knee), Richard Hamilton (back) and Marco Belinelli (abdominal) sat out.
"You got Marco out. Rip out. D-Rose out. Taj out. Guys are just stepping up, man, and that's what teams do. You got Jo out and (Nazr Mohammed) stepping in for him," guard Nate Robinson said. "These guys are coming in and it's like old school wrestling. Tag team. You know when one guy goes in, tag him, the other guy go ou...

Brian Scalabrine is a funny guy, with a cool personality. Scalabrine only averaged 3.1 points and 2 rebounds in 13 minutes during his 11 year NBA career.
Those are not gaudy numbers no, but he was an All Pac 10 performer and honorable mentions All American as a Senior at USC.
The reason I’m explaining this is because when you’re in the NBA and not a star, people seem to get...
Brian Scalabrine is apparently tired of white people challenging him to games of 1-on-1. The reasoning seems to be that no white person, unless they are in the NBA, can beat the White Mamba in a game of basketball. However, as Brian states in his Tweet , “if ur a brother, maybe…but i doubt it.”
Tired of people challenging me 1on1. Let me be direct. If ur white & not N...

The only shots Nate Robinson fears are the kind he takes at the doctor's office.
He doesn't like needles.
He welcomes crunch time.
Robinson showed no fear down the stretch, scoring 12 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter, and Luol Deng finished with 19 after a slow start to lead the Chicago Bulls to an 87-86 victory over the Orlando Magic on Friday night.
CHICAGO (AP) -- Nate Robinson scored 12 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter, Luol Deng finished with 19 after a slow start, and the Chicago Bulls beat the Orlando Magic 87-86 on Friday night.
Robinson, who scored the go-ahead basket the previous night in a two-point win at Brooklyn, came up big down the stretch, offsetting a 27-point performance by Orlando's Beno Udrih.
As I stood in the lobby of the Chicago Marriott near the hotel bar after the conclusion of the Boys’ All-American game at the United Center, I was reminded of how young the players I had just watched were.
While plenty of media types and adult family members flocked to the bar for drinks and exchanged pleasantries, most of the members of the 2013 McDonald’s All-American class...
