America Least:
The Black Bears have released their non-conference schedule. The schedule was released last Thursday. They were slowly releasing it over facebook, but now we got the entire sha-bang. Here we go:
2010-11 Maine Non-Conference Schedule
October
30 - vs. Cape Breton, 3 pm (exhibition)
November
12 - at Utah Valley State University, 9 pm
14 - at Maryland, 1 pm
19 - vs UMaine-Machias, 7 pm
22 - at Notre Dame, 7:30 pm
29 - at Quinnipiac, 7 pm
December
4 - vs Brown, 2 pm
6 - vs Delaware State, 7:30 pm
8 - at UMass, 7 pm
12 - vs Norfolk State, 12 pm
19 - vs Colgate, 2pm
21 - at Penn State, TBD
30 - vs Columbia, 7 pm
A very solid schedule by Maine. While I hate the Machias game, every game on the schedule really tests the program. To get an ACC, Atlantic-10, Big East and Big Ten team on the schedule is impressive. Should help out the conference RPI down the road.
In the craziness of my vacation, I forgot to put up the Boston non-conference schedule. Another pretty impressive piece of work by Pat Chambers. Here it is:
2010-11 Boston University Non-Conference Schedule
November
12 - at Northeastern, TBA
16 - vs George Washington, TBA (Villanova, Pa. - NIT Tip-off)
17 - vs Marist/Villanova, TBA (Villanova, Pa. - NIT Tip-off)
19 - vs. Marist, TBA
22 - vs TBA, TBA (NIT Tip-off - Consolation Round)
23 - vs TBA, TBA (NIT Tip-off - Consolation Round)
24 - vs TBA, TBA (New York, N.Y. - MSG - Championship Round)
26 - vs TBA, TBA (New York, N.Y. - MSG - Championship Round)
27 - vs. Cornell, TBA
30 - at Kentucky, TBA
December
04 - at Bucknell, TBA
09 - vs. La Salle, TBA
11 - at Harvard, TBA
21 - vs. Saint Joseph's, TBA
29 - vs. Quinnipiac, TBA
31 - at UMass, TBA
I mean what can you say? Hopefully they can pull off the upset to play Villanova. That would be one hell of a story. As I said, excellent work by Chambers.
Hartford is the only program to have released its non-conference schedule for next season. We expect it very soon. Basketball season is coming fast!
