Drew MacIntyre is not angry or bitter at how his nomadic career unfolded (gotta like a guy who puts teddy bears and ponies on his mask to celebrate his kids) but this weekend could provide a chance to make one team regret their treatment.
MacIntyre now carving a role on the Leafs’ depth chart with an excellent pre-season thought he had a big break when the Buffalo Sabres wooed him away from the Canadiens’ farm team in Hamilton where he almost put the Bulldogs in the 2011 Calder Cup.
“Buffalo told me enough to get me away from there” MacIntyre recalled Friday. “I was called up in Buffalo when Ryan Miller got hit by Milan Lucic and I had a lot of fun. As soon as I got back it was downhill. I didn’t play as well as I could (or allowed in very often). It was a frustrating season.”
