Marc Savard hasn’t played in an NHL game since Jan. 22, 2011, and it doesn’t sound like he’ll be playing again any time soon. There haven’t been any rumors of a comeback or anything, but Savard took to Twitter on Tuesday to say that a comeback is not in the cards right now. The Bruins center’s career may be over after concussions have forced him away from the game since 2011. Judging based solely on his tweets, it seems that Savard is in good spirits. He occasionally checks in with fans about the Bruins, and he’s been known to make predictions from time to time leading up to big games. Savard was one of the many to weigh in on the Bruins’ acquisition of Jaromir Jagr, saying that he wished he could “suit up with one of the greatest players of all time.”

Kaspars Daugavins Impresses Bruins Teammates With Another Crazy Shootout Move (Video)

Kaspars Daugavins was no stranger to the Bruins and their fans when the forward was claimed off of waivers from the Senators. Not only had Daugavins played against the Bruins with Ottawa, but he gained notoriety around the league for his gutsy shootout attempt against the B’s last month. He was back at it again Monday morning at morning skate in advance of the team’s game with...

Patrice Bergeron Working Out Again, Peter Chiarelli Encouraged by Progress

The Bruins will struggle to do much of anything in the playoffs with Patrice Bergeron, and after the center suffered his fourth concussion last week against Ottawa, there was fear that the B’s could be without Bergeron for some time. However, it sounds like the reigning Selke winner continues to progress in his comeback attempts, and he’s already hit a couple of milestones on...

Wade Redden Is the Current Bruin That Had the Best Plus-Minus Rating in the 2005-06 Season

Bruins defenseman Wade Redden led the NHL back in 2005-06 with a plus-minus rating of plus-35 that season with Ottawa. Redden was tied with Michal Rozsival of the New York Rangers for the league lead. The plus-35 rating still stands as the best of Redden’s career. His best mark since has been a plus-11 back in 2007-08. The Boston Bruins are no strangers to winning the plus-minus...

After acquiring some additional depth players to help them in their quest for another Stanley Cup, the Bruins are reportedly close to landing another. Keys To The Game Vs. Carolina (It All Comes Down to Claude)

Claude Julien finds himself once again taking heat from fans and media. Why? Because in an awful effort against the Canadiens Claude dropped Jagr to a line with Campbell and Thornton, moved Seguin back to winger, and for some reason kept the Lucic-Krejci-Horton line perfectly in tact. Fans are mad becuase the Bruins arn't showing the effort they have in past years. And Julien...

Alexei Emelin Out for the Year After Poor Life Choice

There weren't many highlights in the Bruins-Habs game, but Alexei Emelin taking a run at Milan Lucic was one of them. Pro Tip: If you see Milan Lucic barreling his way down the ice at top speed the worst thing you can do is throw your body in front of it. Emelin earned himself a sweet torn knee ligament and is out for the year. Emelin was the dude who...

Bruins Offer Both Good and a Little Bit of Bad in 6-2 Win Over Hurricanes

BOSTON– Monday night’s win over the Carolina Hurricanes might have looked good for the Bruins on paper, but as is often the case, the final score may have been a little misleading. Sure the B’s rolled to a 6-2 win over a hapless opponent, but this was not the dominant effort the score might suggest. The B’s did plenty of good things, but they’re far from out of the woods...

38. Carolina Hurricanes at Boston Bruins. THE HEARTS OF (DEAD) LIONS

It's a good things I was distracted Saturday night by the awesome time had at the Days of Y'Orr/Boston Sports Then and Now/Bruins Daily Viewing Party because if I was home I'd have to write some of sort recap while I was *********. Usually they come out awesome, but I'm pretty sure that if I wrote it while drinking the creature my laptop would have been thrown...
