Adam Schefter of ESPN believes running back Matt Forte will sign a contract extension with the Chicago Bears before July 16. Fantasy Spin: July 16 is significant because that is the deadline players that were designated with the franchise tag (like Forte) have to sign an extension. And if Forte does get the long-term deal that he covets, then that eliminates the risk of him being a holdout.
