Fernando Rodney, the third Tampa Bay reliever, pitched the ninth for his 19th save -- completing the six-hitter. The left-hander, despite giving up just 20 runs -- 17 earned -- over 49 1-3 innings, is 0-6 in his last seven starts.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. Tampa Bay Rays infielder Ben Zobrist was named Saturday as a American League team reserve for the All-Star Game, to be played July 16 at Citi Field. This is Zobrists second selection to the All-Star Game, his first coming in 2009. James Loney a man of few words as hitting streak grows

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. James Loney is often a man of few words.
