Dirk Nowitzki is still not exactly close to returning.  However, Wednesday he resumed basketball activities for the first time since his surgery.  Nowitzki underwent right knee surgery on October 19th.  He was not expected to miss much time, but his recovery was slower than anticipated.  The injury is Nowitzki's first severe injury. Tim Macmahon of ESPN Dallas says Nowitzki has taken some shots and did some running Wednesday.  However, the Mavericks' star is still a long way off from a return.  His return to the court is not expected for a few weeks. "The swelling is gone, so now I think we can push it more and more from week to week," Nowitzki said. "I did a lot of cardio last week. Now, I'm actually trying to run the court, get some shots up. Maybe next week, start running more, start cutting and reintroduce more week by week. Hopefully, in a couple of weeks, I'll get back out there."Nowitzki has not played a game this season because of the injury.  When he returns to the court, the Mavericks hope Nowitzki can vault the team into the playoffs.  Nowitzki has carried the team in the past, he will just have to do it in a shorter time frame this season. Nowitzki has averaged 22.9 points per game in his career and 8.3 rebounds per game.  He is an eleven-time All-Star and has led the Mavericks to the playoffs 12 times in his 14-year career. Welcome To Dallas Mr. Fisher

Now if you think that just because the Dallas Mavericks have signed guard Derek Fisher for the season is automatically going to guarantee a Championship, well you have another thing coming. Granted Fisher brings a lot of stuff to the table with his championship caliber of play and thought process, but after witnessing him in the game, you could tell that he had been sitting around...

Mark Cuban was not happy watching Mavericks get blown out by Clippers (GIF)

Eddy Curry Scores 29 Points, Loses In CBA Debut

Remember what I said about Eddy Curry on Monday?  Yeah, well, scratch that.  E-City recently elected to put his NBA hopes on hold for the time being and to follow T-Mac (and the money) to the Far East, where he has joined the Zhejiang Golden Bulls of the Chinese Basketball Association.  Zhejiang is the former team of JR Smith, as well as Josh Boone, who Curry has been brought...

Mark Cuban Was so Mad at the Mavericks Last Night he Took a Nap

The Dallas Mavericks had a rough night last night against the LA Clippers when they lost 112-90.  Caron Butler threw down a huge jam on Chris Kaman's face, and Blake Griffin threw down a left handed dunk on Elton Brand.  Owner Mark Cuban didn't look very happy throughout the game, and with about a minute left in the game he decided to take a nap because he just couldn&...

Mark Cuban Caught Up On Sleep While The Mavs Were Getting Slapped Around By Clippers

And here I didn’t think anyone still wore those non-collared shirts with buttons. Just Cubes being Cubes, right? Mark’s team is now 2-7 on the road. Meanwhile, last light I watched a DVR of Shark Tank where Cubes bought part of a Christmas tree farm. His NBA team is struggling and Cubes is investing in a six-week per year business. What the hell is going on with this guy? Meanwhile...

Vince Carter and Elton Brand Gave Jared Dudley's Face a Butt Sandwhich Last Night

Haha, couldn't stop laughing at this picture.  Vince Carter and Elton Brand of the Dallas Mavericks go up for a block on Jared Dudley of the Phoenix Suns last night and squeeze his head between their butts.  Not a place any NBAer wants to be, or anyone for that matter.  The Mavs also got the upper hand last night beating the Suns 97-94.  via CJ Check out our Home Page...

Cuban to Stern: Intentional fouls part of game

The cynic in a lot of us wonders if David Stern wouldn't be so concerned with intentional fouls if it wasn't for who was being intentionally fouled and what team that guy plays for. But it's Dwight Howard and it's the Lakers, so it can't be right. The integrity of the game is comprised. The fans are cheated. Heat fans don't want to watch Spurs scrubs. Wait...

Caron Butler dunks on Chris Kaman

It was a good day for LA basketball on Wednesday night. The Lakers won and the Clippers beat the Dallas Mavericks. You knew it was going to be a tough night for former Clippers center Chris Kaman after witnessing this first quarter dunk on him by Caron Butler. He was the victim of two during [...]
