Adonis Thomas had 18 points and nine rebounds Monday night as Memphis broke a two-game losing streak with an 85-75 victory over Lipscomb. Will Barton added 16 points and nine rebounds for the Tigers (6-4), who outscored the Bison 12-5 down the stretch to preserve the victory.
While Barton and Jackson were busy trying to keep the Tigers in Saturday's game at Louisville, Memphis' low-post players were busy doing relatively nothing -- Tarik Black, Adonis Thomas, Wesley Witherspoon and Stan Simpson combined for just 16 points and more fouls (13) than rebounds (10).

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - After surrendering a 14-point lead to Lipscomb, Memphis used a 12-5 spurt over the last 4:44 to pull out the victory, 85-75. Adonis Thomas scored a game-high 18 points and hauled in nine boards for the Tigers who improve to 6-4 on the season. Lipscomb drops to 6-7 with the loss.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -Memphis fell to Louisville on the road Saturday evening, 95-87. Will Barton recorded 28 points and 15 rebounds, both career-highs. With the double-double against the Cardinals, Barton now has four on the season and three in the last four games. Joe Jackson added 22 points, five rebounds and four assists for the Tigers.
