At the mid way point of the 2012 season, the Miami Dolphins have exceeded virtually all the expectations set for them in the preseason yet find themselves where they began; with an even record. Miami is sitting at 4-4, one game out of the AFC East lead and one game back of a playoff spot. It's clear that there is a new sense of optimism in South Florida, the Dolphins are playing meaningful football which is something that eluded them a year ago. While the team as a unit has been a pleasant surprise, invidual players have also emerged as impact performers. Although there were plenty of surprises, several players were large disappointments that may have ultimately cost the team a handful of victories. However, the past is simply that, the past and Miami sits at a solid position in this point of the season, at .500. Before looking forward to a crucial matchup against the Tennesse Titans to get the Dolphins back into the playoff mix, it's time to take a look at which players sur...
BEST OF MAXIM
The Dolphins lost a tough game last week but they are still a playoff team in the weak AFC.
I'm sitting at 84-49 heading into the weekend. I need to have a huge run to get over .750 for the season.
NY Giants @ Cincinnati - The Giants are coming off a tough home loss last week to the Steelers. I think last weeks events caught up to the Giants...
The Miami Dolphins are trying to build a consistently winning football team. While doing so, the Dolphins are making strong efforts to reach out to fans. This weekend we’ll be attending the Dolphins 9th Annual Web Weekend. Web Weekend is a special weekend when the Dolphins invite down a small group of owners of Dolphins blogs. This will be our first Web Weekend and we can’t...
So here we stand at 4-4. The Miami Dolphins are at .500 for the third time this season following a loss to the Indianapolis Colts last weekend. A team that most people projected to win five games or...

Last week: 12 (-2)
In spite of a close road loss in a previously underrated Colts team, the Dolphins are still legitimate playoff contenders and if history is any indication, they’re more likely to make it than some other borderline playoff teams in the AFC right now, other than San Diego. Every year, 5 new playoff teams make the playoffs that didn’t make it the year...
BY NICK ST. DENISReggie Bush is the Miami Dolphins' most explosive offensive player, but his workload hasn't exploded as of late. His touches, in fact, have gone down at a steady pace over the last four weeks. He had 21 touches (19 rush, 2 receiving) four games ago against the Cincinnati Bengals, 17 (12 rush, 5 rec.) three games ago against the St. Louis Rams, 15 (14 rush...
The Miami Dolphins are coming off a 23-20 loss to the Colts in Indianapolis that dropped their record to 4-4 on the season. The Dolphins scored 17 points on their first three possessions, but struggled to move the ball in the second half and lost on a field goal by Adam Vinatieri midway through the fourth quarter.
After the jump, what I saw of the Dolphins last...
We thank Daniel Eliesen of Phins Phocus for joining us in this week's question and answer exchange with a blogger from the other side. My answers to his questions are here. Following are his answers to my questions.
Total Titans: After eight games, what can you tell us about Ryan Tannehill? Can he be the franchise quarterback the Dolphins have been looking...
The Miami Dolphins welcomed in a group of Dolphins blog owners on Friday, kicking off their 9th annucal, 3-day ‘Web Weekend’. This is the first year that PhinNation is in attendance and must say that the event is off to an awesome start. On Friday night, the blog owners attended a welcome dinner at the Dolphins training facility in Davie. I have to say, the facility looked...
Fantasy Football Sleepers: Week 10
Ryan Tannehill (QB)- If you’re an Aaron Rodgers owner that’s desperate to plug a body into your lineup, Tannehill might be the solution for you. The Dolphins are at home hosting a Tennessee Titans defense that has already surrendered an NFL-worst 20 touchdown passes this season. That dysfunctional Titans secondary has also allowed at least...
