WR Brian Hartline was absent from the Miami Dolphins mandatory minicamp last month and it’s now being revealed why. Hartline is recovering from an appendectomy. The Dolphins receiver told WQAM radio on Saturday that he fully expects to be ready for the start of training camp later this month.
It’s going better now. It’s been a little bumpy the past couple of months but I’m on the right path now,” said Hartline. “I’ve got a little bit of stuff to make up but again, I’ve got a full month. That’s plenty of time. Real life happens sometimes and that’s just what it is.”
Hartline was the second leading receiver for the Dolphins last year in yardage, recording 35 receptions for 549 yards and one score. He led the Dolphins in average yards per catch with a 15.7 average.

Normally when you draft a quarterback in the Top 10 you expect him to start immediately. In the Dolphins case it might be a while before Ryan Tannehill hits the field.

According to Kevin Fishbain of ProFootballWeekly.com, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Legedu Naanee has surprised some people and impressed his teammates during minicamp. Who on the Bengals could be a "Comeback Player of the Year" candidate after a surprising 9-7 finish and a playoff berth in 2011? If you were to point at injuries, Leon Hall and/or Pat Sims could be candidates, though they were already having solid seasons and played for a good portion of the year before landing on injured reserve. You could point to poor performers or...
Dolphins rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill was the 8th overall pick in April's draft. Tannehill had somewhat of a jump on the Dolphins offense since new Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Sherman was his college coach.
