Michael Annett was involved in the crazy crash at the end of the Drive4COPD300 Nationwide Series race at Daytona International Speedway and was taken to the hospital.
Annett is alert and doing fine. He is being kept at Halifax Medical Center for observation with bruising to his chest. He underwent a CT scan and is awaiting the results.
Several fans were treated by Daytona safety workers after debris flew into the stands. One fan was taken into surgery at Halifax Medical Center.

Entering Daytona one thing is certain; there will be damaged cars at the end of the day. That proved to be true on Saturday when eleven cars were involved in a wreck with five laps to go.
The wreck started when Michael Annett got into the drivers side of Austin Dillon. With no where to go a collection of cars collided into the pair.
Annett was transported to Halifax Medical Center.
