As expected, the minor league stint of Jake Gardiner lasted one game, as the Maple Leafs have called up the 22 year old defenseman from the Toronto Marlies.
The AHL will be on their All Star Break from today till Thursday, so having Gardiner stay down with the Marlies made no sense.
