NFL Injury Report:
Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan told NFL.com that he
expects quarterback Robert Griffin III to “set a record from coming back” from
knee surgery because of how hard the second-year player is working at his
We’ve already heard surgeons term RGIII as superhuman in the
progress he’s shown thus far. Now, his coach is heaping the praise on,
indicating Griffin could be ready to go at the beginning of the season.
Still, Shanahan cautioned that it is a process with Griffin
in going through, and it will take time for him to get all the way back. The
quarterback will not rush things and attempt to return until he’s “100 percent”
Shanahan’s comments also indicate that the team isn’t
interested in switching from the read-option offense, as the coach said he
feels this style actually protects his quarterback. It will be interesting to
continue to following Griffin’s recovery, and if he’s able to continue
producing without getting hurt in Washington’s current system.

Robert Griffin III’s injured right knee is probably the most talked about reconstructed knee in the history of sports. Seeing as Charles Woodson has no takers right now, and with the thought that he still has a few years left in the tank, should the Redskins kick the tires on him and put him at free safety? Woodson hasn’t garnered much attention in free agency, which to me is surprising. Maybe Woodson’s asking price is too much but that hasn’t been reported. “For the right price,” the Redskins...
