Stolmy Pimentel makes his AAA debut and Jamestown opens their season tonight, their first game as an affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Altoona is off today. Bradenton was on their All-Star break until today. West Virginia goes on their All-Star break today. They will resume play on Thursday. Both Dominican Summer League teams were off yesterday. Pimentel has pitched well recently after a tough month of May Photo Credit: Mark Olson AAA: Indianapolis (46-25) @ Norfolk (38-32) 7:05pm Probable starter: Stolmy Pimentel (NR) Yesterday’s Result: Durham 5, Indianapolis 2 Stolmy Pimentel will make his first start for Indianapolis tonight. With Altoona, Pimentel was 4-3, 3.61 in 13 starts. He pitched a total of 77.1 innings, allowing 74 hits, eight homers and 35 walks. He recorded 61 strikeouts, had a 1.09 GO/AO ratio and a .252 BAA. In his last start, Pimentel went seven innings, allowing one run on three hits, six walks and he struck out five batters. In his prior start, he struck out seven batters over six innings, picking up the win at home against Reading. AA: Altoona (30-37) vs New Hampshire (33-36) 7:00pm 6/18 Probable starter: David Bromberg (3-6, 3.66) Yesterday’s Result: Altoona 2, Trenton 1 Altoona is off today. When they resume play on Tuesday, they will play three at home, then three on the road, then back home for three, before going back on the road. Altoona is in last place in their division, though they trail first place by just six games. They are 7-3 in their last ten and they have won five in a row. The Curve have a 16-17 home record. They are last in the 12 team Eastern League with a .236 team average and also with a .687 OPS. High-A: Bradenton (26-39) @ Jupiter (33-32) 6:35pm Probable starter: TBD Yesterday’s Result: Bradenton was off yesterday The Marauders return from their All-Star break today. No starter has been named for today’s game yet. We will update this post when one is announced. Bradenton is in last place in their division, 17.5 games behind first place Fort Myers. When they return to action today, they will play three games on the road against Jupiter, three at home against Charlotte and then go back on the road for six games. They will play 17 straight days without a day off. Low-A: West Virginia (37-33) vs Lakewood (26-41) 7:05pm  6/20 Probable starter: TBD Yesterday’s Result: Greensboro 7, West Virginia 5 West Virginia is off today. They are on their All-Star break and won’t return until Thursday. They finished the first half of the season in third place, 2.5 games behind Hagerstown. The Power will open the second half with seven home games, four against Lakewood and three against Hagerstown. West Virginia is sending six players to the South Atlantic All-Star Game on Tuesday night. Short-Season A: Jamestown (0-0) @ Mahoning Valley (0-0) 7:05pm Probable Starter: Isaac Sanchez (NR) Isaac Sanchez will start on Opening Day. The 20-year-old righty has made just one career start over his first three seasons in pro ball. He spent most of last season in the Gulf Coast League, joining State College for three relief appearance. Sanchez pitched well in his 24 innings in the GCL, posting a 3.00 ERA, a .227 BAA and he struck out 19 batters. In the NYPL, he had some troubles, allowing six runs on eight hits and four walks in four innings. Sanchez has allowed just one homer in his career.
