In Indianapolis tonight, Jameson Taillon will make his second start since being promoted to AAA. He had a rough start to his first game, then really settled down. Taillon finished strong in his first AAA start AAA: Indianapolis (69-53) vs Toledo (52-70) 7:05pm Probable starter: Jameson Taillon (0-1, 5.40) Yesterday’s Result: Indianapolis 6, Toledo 5 in 11 innings Jameson Taillon will make his second start since joining Indianapolis. In  his first game, he allowed three first inning runs, then settled down and threw shutout ball for the next four innings. He finished the game with three hits, three walks and five strikeouts. With Altoona, he was 4-7, 3.67 in 20 games. Taillon threw 110.1 innings with the Curve, allowing 112 hits, eight homers and 36 walks. He had 106 strikeouts, a 1.38 GO/AO ratio and a .257 BAA. AA: Altoona (54-63) vs Harrisburg (64-55) 7:00pm Probable starter: Nate Baker (3-1, 6.02) Yesterday’s Result: Harrisburg 8, Altoona 5 Nate Baker is scheduled to make his third start of the season tonight. He pitched in relief two days ago, throwing a total of 11 pitches in a scoreless inning. Prior to his last start, he also threw an inning of relief days earlier. Baker has pitched 31 times in relief this year. He has thrown a total of 52.1 innings, allowing 54 hits, five homers and 32 walks. He has 45 strikeouts, a 1.10 GO/AO ratio and a .267 BAA. In his first start, he gave up one earned run on six hits over five innings. In his last start, he went 6.1 innings, allowing three earned runs on six hits and a walk. He has issued just two walks in his last 21 innings. High-A: Bradenton (43-68 overall, 17-26 2nd half) @ Charlotte (54-56) 6:30pm Probable starter: Joely Rodriguez (2-3, 2.18) Yesterday’s Result:  Bradenton was rained out Joely Rodriguez will get his 23rd start of the season, his ninth with Bradenton. In 14 starts with West Virginia earlier in the year, he went 5-5, 2.72 in 77.2 innings. With Bradenton, he has thrown 45.1 innings, allowing 40 hits, one home run and 12 walks. On the season, he has 82 strikeouts, an impressive 2.27 GO/AO ratio and a .267 BAA. In his last start, Rodriguez went five innings, giving up two runs on six hits and two walks. Prior to that, he had two straight outings in which he threw six shutout innings. Low-A: West Virginia (68-49 overall, 31-16 2nd half) @ Lakewood (45-70) 7:05pm Probable starter: Clay Holmes (4-5, 4.27) Yesterday’s Result: West Virginia 3, Lakewood 1 (game story) Clay Holmes will make his 22nd start of the season tonight. He also pitched once in relief, starting the completion of a suspended game. Holmes has thrown 103.1 innings, allowing 90 hits, five homers and 63 walks. He has 76 strikeouts, a 1.88 GO/AO ratio and a .237 BAA. In his last start, which came against Lakewood, he allowed three runs on four hits and three walks in five innings. Holmes pitched in Lakewood on 6/30, giving up two runs on four hits and two walks in five innings. Short-Season A: Jamestown (31-19) @ Tri-City (31-21) 7:00pm Probable Starter: Isaac Sanchez (1-0, 3.52) Yesterday’s Result:  Tri-City 10, Jamestown 4 Isaac Sanchez will make his tenth start of the season tonight. He has thrown 38.1 innings, allowing 34 hits, three homers and 15 walks. He has 34 strikeouts, a 2.17 GO/AO ratio and a .236 BAA. In his last start, Sanchez allowed a season-high five runs, though only three were earned. In his previous start, he threw two-hit ball over five innings, picking up eight strikeouts. Rookie:  GCL Pirates (21-22) vs GCL Yankees1 (21-22) 10:00am Probable Starter: TBD Yesterday’s Result: Yankees1 3, Pirates 1 No starter has been named for the GCL Pirates yet. We will update this article when one is announced. The Pirates and Yankees1 are tied for first place in their division. After today, there will be 16 games left in the GCL season and these two teams will meet once more for a  two game series.
