While the world for some reason waits for Ryan Lochte to find a girlfriend, we may finally have a contender. The NY Daily News recently reported that Lochte was at a party hosted by shoe designer Brian Atwood at the Four Seasons restaurant last Wednesday where he met Miss USA Olivia Culpo. As you can see, the two posed for a couple of photos together. Lochte also stopped for a picture with Donald Trump, who owns the Miss Universe Organization.
“Things are still very new, because they just met, and they obviously aren’t exclusive,” says an insider, but they “definitely like each other.”
“Everyone was trying to get a piece of Ryan at the party, but he spent a chunk of his time talking to Olivia,” says a second source. That source claims Lochte invited Culpo to his “Guys Fashion’s Night Out” event at Ainsworth Park restaurant last Thursday, but Culpo was already booked, so they reunited at the Sherri Hill show Friday.
A spokeswoman for Lochte cautioned that it is “too early” to say that he is dating Culpo, noting that they have been getting along and have gotten to know each other but are “not dating.”
Now that the Olympics have ended, Lochte might actually have time for a girlfriend instead of just one-night stands like his mother previously stated. Lochte has already laid out specific guidelines for what he looks for in a woman, so time will tell if Culpo meets the requirements. Unless, of course, he tells her about the stupid phrase he tried to trademark and she decides she’s had more than enough.
