Bryce Harper is on the DL and not thrilled about missing time. He also reportedly had injections in his knee during a doctor's visit.
Henry Rodriguez was designated for assignment by the Nats last week after walking 16 batters over his first 18 innings. He contains a strong arm but has struggled with his command in the show while sporting a 4.23 career ERA and 1.48 career WHIP.
This lead to CSNChicago.com's Patrick Mooney reporting another Nationals pitching move.

Now...there's this. And as you can imagine...the outfielder has never looked so good!
What...no eye black?

As the Washington Nationals dipped back below .500 yesterday, the team suddenly has a lot to look forward to. Despite their struggles so far this season, they will be getting help. Bryce Harper's injury should not keep him on the DL too much longer, and the pitching staff may be in tact completely for the first time in over a month. Stephen Strasburg is making progress...
Regular readers may have noticed that the Sportress has few qualms about showcasing some of the more attractive women who permeate the sports world, no matter how tangentially they may do so. With that in mind — and as a nod to the classic Demetri Martin bit — I’d say it is only fair to [...]The post Here’s Bryce Harper modeling Under Armour underwear because…ladies (pic...

When Bryce Harper smashed into the wall at Dodger Stadium weeks ago, Nationals fans held their breath. They waited to see if he'd be all right, but those hopes were dashed when he landed on the DL. Things seemed even more bleak today when an airport photo shows Bryce Harper in a knee immobilizer!
But fans in Washington can sigh in relief as Bryce himself tweeted...
Photo Credit: Tom Mihalek, AP St. Louis baseball fans hear the last name ‘Duncan’ and think of Tony La Russa’s legendary pitching coach Dave Duncan. However, let us not forget about his son, Chris Duncan, a former Cardinal and World Series Champion. Duncan won his ring with the Cardinals in 2006 and took the organization’s Rookie of the Year award batting .293 with 22 bombs...
I remember the day when bobblehead days at stadiums were so sacred that people were camping out like a day in advance to land Ichiro’s first bobblehead and my dumbass showed up at 10 AM in Cincinnati for a 7:35 PM start time (that will clue the die hards that it was at Old Riverfront Stadium) just to land Adam Dunn’s first bobblehead.
The Reds beat the Padres 9-0 that night,...
The Washington Nationals (33-32) were powered to a 5-4 win over the Colorado Rockies (35-32) behind a strong offensive effort led by Ryan Zimmerman and Ian Desmond.
In his first start since coming off the disabled list, Ross Detwiler set the table for the win. He threw 77 pitches in five complete innings, and allowed three earned runs on six hits with two strikeouts.
The Washington Nationals (31-32) were in a perfect situation to create some momentum on Tuesday night against the Colorado Rockies (35-30).
They had just put together 24 hits and 12 runs in one day during a doubleheader sweep on Sunday, and they were taking that impressive offensive effort to a ballpark that is notoriously kind to hitters.
But as they have struggled...
The Indians finally won a series in Texas and will move on to face the Washington Nationals, the last team in their difficult stretch of nine straight series against teams above .500. During the stretch the Indians went 6-16 including two sweeps by Detroit, one by the Yankees and one by Cincinnati. The series against the Nationals will be a rarity for the Tribe. They haven't...
