Found September 17, 2013 on The Cardinal Connect:
Unless something changes, Louisville junior quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is expected to be the first quarterback taken in the 2014 NFL Draft. Depending on which team gets the first pick, he may actually be the first overall selection. There are multiple NFL franchises that have very little optimism about their 2013 season. Therefore, the Tank For Teddy movement has already begun for multiple NFL teams. Things could change, but at this point, it looks like the Jacksonville Jaguars will be the team with the first overall pick in the 2014 draft. Although this would send Teddy back to his home-state of Florida, the thought of him starting his career with that miserable franchise is worrisome. If that’s the case, maybe he’ll just come back for his senior year. We can dream, right?

Teddy Bridgewater’s Former Back-up May Be The Starter For FIU On Saturday

Teddy Bridgewater and the rest of the Miami Northwestern High School alumni on the Louisville roster will go up against five of their former teammates this Saturday as the take on Florida International. One particular name that you may hear quite a bit during Saturday’s game is back-up quarterback E.J. Hilliard, who is expected to start in place of the injured Jake Medlock. During...

Heismania! Week 3: the end of phase one

No. 7 Louisville defense stepping up on third down

Louisville's defense is creating more opportunities for quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and the Cardinals' high-powered offense to get on the field. Seventh-ranked Louisville (3-0) enters Saturday's game against struggling Florida International (0-3) ranked fifth nationally in third-down defense, having allowed just 10 of 41 conversions (24%). That's a huge drop from...

Louisville’s Defense Ranked 12th In The Country

Heading into the 2013 season, the Louisville defense was being questioned on the national level. Teddy Bridgewater and the Cardinal offense had attracted quite a bit of attention following the Sugar Bowl, but those who wanted to question Louisville being a top ten team usually pointed directly at the defense. Although the competition hasn’t been very tough so far, Vance Bedford...

Behind the coaching of Charlie Strong and the elite quarterbacking of Teddy Bridgewater, Louisville has emerged from the shadows of a feeble American Athletic Conference and propelled itself into the national spotlight. Some things not what they seemed to be

Some things were not what they seemed in the football game against Kentucky, according to Shawn Watson, offensive coordinator, looking back at the University of Louisville’s third straight win in the rivalry. What appeared to be an off day for Teddy Bridgewater was a case of receivers deviating from their routes, with lack of focus and out of place on the road. Bridgewater taking...

Shawn Watson Says Offensive Struggles From Saturday Are An Easy Fix

I think it’s safe to say that the first half against Kentucky on Saturday was the worst half of the season thus far for the Louisville Cardinal offense. For some reason, Shawn Watson’s offense just lacked rhythm and frankly they looked a little rattled out there. The Cards looked much better in the second half and were able to win the game without much of a scare, but Coach Watson...
