Silver and Black Daily:
What up RaiderNation? Welcome to this week’s edition of My Two Cents, with your favorite archaic Raider fan, Old Timer. This week, we are going to talk about Greg Manusky. OK, you might be saying: What does that have to do with who the Raider starting QB is? Well in case you don’t know who Greg Manusky is, he is […]

After trimming down their active roster to 75 players on Tuesday, the Oakland Raiders continued their cutting process in order to release their initial list of 53 athletes that will represent the Silver & Black in the 2013 regular season. Among notable cuts, Oakland has parted ways with veterans defensive end Andre Carter and cornerback Joselio Hanson (removing him from […]
There are very few players in the league who will be replacing an NFL legend this season. Yeah Shane Lechler was a punter and not a quarterback, but he had put up the greatest numbers a punter has ever had in his tenure with the Oakland Raiders.
The Raiders have just announced that the young Marquette King was won the job to replace Shane Lechler. Fan favorite King has won praise...
Terrelle Pryor had it, right there in his grasp.
After showing flashes of being able to lead the Raiders during the regular season, Pryor bombed last night during the Raiders final preseason game against the Seahawks.
That sound you just heard was Pryor’s opportunity to start for the Raiders crashing down in flames. Pryor went 3-8 for 31 yards, and an interception, and seemed...
Strapped with a play calling wristband and the determination to improve every day, Terrelle Pryor started tonight for the Oakland Raiders in their final preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks. It has been a tumultuous preseason for the Raiders whose first team performances in the two previous games against the New Orleans Saints and Chicago Bears was nothing short of calamitous...
After last night’s poor performance by quarterback Terrelle Pryor, Raiders head coach Dennis Allen isn’t ready to name a starter yet.
Allen said he’ll withhold an announcement of the starting quarterback “until the appropriate time,” and when asked if he might wait until the season opener, said, “We’ll see.”
Flynn, Allen said, is expected to be back at practice...
The Oakland Raiders released veteran defensive end Andre Carter on Saturday, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
The 34 yard-old Carter had 19 tackles, 2.5 sacks and 1 forced fumble last season. His career could be over.

The post Raiders release veteran Andre Carter appeared first on Pro Football Zone.
It sounds like both Marquette King and Chris Kluwe have made the Raiders roster. That is huge news for both. The Raiders released several veterans like Onar gaither and Andre Carter. This is interesting. @JoshDubowAP: #Raiders keep 2 punters. Haven’t heard that one before
Chris Kluwe just tweeted his goodbyes in Oakland. It seems like Marquette King is the Raiders new punter. #Congrats @ChrisWarcraft: Thanks to everyone at the Raiders for the opportunity this preseason. It was a blast. @MarquetteKing’s got a bright future with you guys!
Third round pick Sio Moore has the makings of the next great Oakland Raiders linebacker. I’m not even talking about potential greatness that we will see in a few years, I believe Sio Moore will become one of the Raiders best defenders from the very first snap against the Indianapolis Colts (If his toe injury keeps him out week one, it will be against the Jaguars). Even when it...
The Oakland Raiders are keeping four quarterbacks and two punters on their 53-man roster with rookies Tyler Wilson and Matt McGloin both making the team as backup passers and the team putting off its decision on picking a punter.
The Raiders announced cuts Saturday to get down to the regular-season roster limit of 53 players with the surprising cut being defensive end Andre Carter...
Here are the moves the Raiders made on Sunday to get down to the regular season 53-man limit:
Positions/Player, Ht/Wt, experience, college
DE Andre Carter, 6-4/260, 13, California
LB Omar Gaither, 6-1/235, 8, Tennessee
CB Joselio Hanson, 5-9/185, 9, Texas Tech
T Tony Hills, 6-5/304, 6, Texas
S Reggie Smith, 6-1/192, 5, Oklahoma
DL Ryan Baker, 6-5/302, 5, Purdue...
Despite the score, there were some good things to come out of the fourth preseason game. Of course, there was also much that was bad.
Menelik Watson started at left tackle for the first time in his career Thursday versus the Seahawks and by all accounts acquitted himself well. The most important voice of approval came from head coach Dennis Allen today when he said...
Al Davis may no longer be around, but the Oakland Raiders are still keeping his spirit alive by making some maddening decisions. Saturday was the deadline for team’s to trim their rosters to 53 players, which means a number of players were cut. The New England Patriots made the tough decision to cut Tim Tebow, […]
