Daytona Beach, Fla- NASCAR Nationwide Series rookie Kyle Larson is showing he’s the real deal. The young rookie currently sits sixth in the points standings heading into this weekend’s race at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Larson finished sixth in the Subway Firecracker 250 Friday night at the Daytona International Speedway. The sixth place finish was his eighth straight time of finishing inside the top 10 as the last time he hasn’t finished there was back in early May at Talladega. Larson has four top fives and 11 top 10′s in 16 Nationwide races this year and has made him a big threat for the overall championship as he trails leader Regan Smith by only 42 points. If Larson can keep this streak going, there’s really no reason he couldn’t win the title. What’s even more remarkable is the young phenom only has two DNF’s this year and both came on restrictor plate tracks. Neither of the wrecks were his fault as he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time in both instances. The first one in Daytona was horrific as his No. 32 Clorox Chevrolet was lifted into the catchfence and ripped apart. Luckily, he was okay. Usually after a wreck of that magnitude you would think a young rookie making his first start of his rookie season would be more timid and not really a factor. Not this kid. He’s the real deal and going to be a star in NASCAR. Larson is currently driving for Turner/Scott Motorsports but is a Chip Ganassi development driver. It’s only a matter of time before Larson is piloting a Ganassi Chevy to victory lane in a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.   Eric Smith is the Lead Motorsports Writer for Race Review Online. Bengals Release Former First Round Pick DE Jamaal Anderson

The Cincinnati Bengals have released former Falcons first round pick, DE Jamaal Anderson. Arguably one of the bigger busts in recent memory, Anderson was the 8th overall pick out of Arkansas back in 2007 and hasn’t been much more than a rotational end in that span. He suffered a season ending tear of his quadriceps muscle during week two last season. Jamaal should get a shot with...

Anderson, 27, was taken with the No. 8 overall pick by the Atlanta Falcons back in 2007, but has been a major disappointment throughout his career in the league.
