The battles continue off the court, as the fashion games are just starting to heat up in the 2013 NBA playoffs, Lets check out a couple fashionable looks from games 2 to 4 of  the 1st round. Unfortunately we won’t be seeing Russell Westbrook(OKC Thunder) anymore, due to a knee injury suffered in Game 2 Vs. Houston. What is NBA playoffs fashion without Russell Westbrook ?? And yes that’s a leather shirt he’s wearing. Dwight Howard(L.A. Lakers) elected for grey suiting, going with a preppy bowtie in game 2, and keeping it simple for game 3 with a classic white collar shirt. Larry Sanders(Milwaukee Bucks) looked suave in tailored threads. Sometimes a great suit, doesn’t need to be accessorized with a tie or bow tie, just a basic collar shirt will do. Superb color combo by Caron Butler(L.A. Clippers) James Harden(Houston Rockets) dressed up a distressed denim shirt, with a plaid vest. I thought this vibrant shirt Chandler Parsons(Houston Rockets) wore was dope. I’m a big Zack Randolph fan(Memphis Grizzlies),  and never seen him look so dapper off the court. For Game 3 vs. Los Angeles Clippers, Zack enrobed in a windowpane suit he complemented with a knit necktie, and pocket handkerchief. They call the windowpane suit the “Power suit” for those tall dominant fellas. When adding youth to formal wear, you can go with either a v-neck, crew neck or Henley shirt. Here Los Angeles Clipper star Blake Griffin pairs a stripe blazer jacket, with a grey Henley shirt.  In the second photo, Blake goes with a preppy approach for game 4 as he dressed up a denim shirt with a stripe necktie. An injured Rajon Rondo(Boston Celtics) looked spiffy from the sideline as he wore a blend sweater, with slacks and loafer shoes for Game 2. Rondo spruced up his look a bit, going with the chic eyewear for game 3. As for game 4, rondo assembled a preppy suit, consisting of eclectic pieces. Love the glen plaid sports coat. Kevin Durant(OKC Thunder) shined bright like a diamond, wait I don’t think I should ever compare another man to a diamond. Anyway Kevin took it back to the 90′s, Puffy & Mase days, with his lustrous silver custom jacket, by Phenom 247 clothing. Mike Conley(Memphis Grizzlies) has stepped his fashion game up for the postseason, check out these two stellar looks below. Game 3, Mike went with a chic stripe custom double-breasted blazer jacket worn with Topman denims, and Gucci shoes. Mike got creative complementing his stripe jacket with a polka dot pocket square, its great to play with patterns when done correctly. For Game 4, Mike made a bold fashion statement with his H&M yellow pants.  Mike put a youthful twist to formal attire as he clothed in a single-button Dolce & Gabbana blazer jacket,  combined with a Rich and Rotten graphic t-shirt, putting the finishing touches to his fashionable look with a pair of $825 Guiseppe Zanotti double zipped hi-top  sneakers. Carmelo Anthony reminded me of an old school gangster with this look, as he sported a double-breasted blazer jacket, with a fedora hat. photos via @brandwills/yahoosports/

Beverley: No intent to hurt Westbrook

Patrick Beverley addressed Russell Westbrook's knee injury and said there was no intent to injure the Thunder star when he went for a steal.

Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook To Undergo Surgery

The Oklahoma City Thunder’s All-Star point guard Russell Westbrook will be undergoing surgery to correct a tear in his lateral meniscus of the right knee. There has been no time table set on the return of Westbrook to the team, and quite possibly he may miss the remainder of the NBA playoffs. He had played in 439 straight games before this injury and according to Comcast Sports...

Police investigate Beverley threat

Police are investigating after a ball boy for the Oklahoma City Thunder tweeted death threats to Houston Rockets guard Patrick Beverley. Thunder All-Star Russell Westbrook was hurt when Beverley tried for a steal in the second quarter of Game 2 and ran into his knee. Westbrook had knee surgery Saturday and is out for the season. The tweets were deleted as of Saturday night, but...

Dunks of the night: Kevin Durant and Carlos Delfino take turns putting each other on a poster

One was surprising, the other not so much

Thunder-Rockets Preview

Kevin Durant felt strange playing without injured All-Star Russell Westbrook for the first time in Game 3 against the Houston Rockets. He did, however, enjoy handling the ball more in the point guard's absence. Durant's 41 points helped the Thunder to the win on Saturday night. A victory on Monday would complete the four-game sweep and send them to the second round of the...

Rockets survive with 105-103 win over OKC

Kevin Durant consoled Serge Ibaka after he missed a layup at the buzzer that would have sent Monday night's game against the Houston Rockets into overtime. Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder lost their first game of the best-of-seven series against the Rockets 105-103. But Durant was quick to remind Ibaka and his teammates not to fret, because they're heading back home...

The Rockets Live To Give Us 48 More Minutes Of Kevin Durant

1 on 4, take the 1 Tonight in Houston, the young Rockets staved off a sweep against the favored Thunder, pushing their series to a Game Five in Oklahoma City. The series has been actually great on the eyes, despite the fact that the Thunder were a half second away from ending this in the minimum (Derek Fisher had a three waved off at the end of the shot clock), mostly because we...

Thunder vs. Rockets highlights: KD’s dunk and Serge Ibaka’s blown lay-up

The Houston Rockets managed to hold off Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder in an elimination game Monday night. There were several plays down the stretch that felt like KD would put the team on his back and closeout the first round playoff series. This fourth quarter dunk by KD on Chandler Parsons certainly looked like it was going to be the moment. With 1:13 left and the...

Clippers drop Game 5 at home to Grizzlies

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Zach Randolph scored 10 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter and the Memphis Grizzlies capitalized on Blake Griffin's ankle injury to beat the Los Angeles Clippers 103-93 on Tuesday night, taking a 3-2 lead in their first-round playoff series. Mike Conley added 20 points for the Grizzlies, who will try to wrap it up Friday night at home. The Pacific Division...

The Houston Rockets avoid sweep force Game 5 with Thunder

Just what the Oklahoma City Thunder did not want to happen did last night….did. The Rockets won Game 4 to avoid a sweep. The Rockets edged out the Thunder 105-103. Houston’s Chandler Parsons stepped up his game with scoring 27 points to help the Rockets play another day. In the past two games Houston saw their fourth quarter lead slip away to the Thunder which made for heartbreaking...
