Gerald Wallace has already missed five straight games.  Tonight will mark his sixth.  The Brooklyn Nets forward has been working his way back from a sprained left ankle.  However, he is not quite ready to take the court again. Wallace initially suffered the injury in the season-opener.  He has not played since and is following team instructions for his rehab, says Mike Mazzeo of ESPN New York.  Wallace may be able to return by the weekend, but he has already been ruled out for tonight's game after coach Avery Johnson had initially said earlier in the week that he was 50/50 for last night's game. "I'm not playing tomorrow," Wallace told ESPN NewYork.com at a TopSpin charity event Wednesday in Manhattan. "I'm basically day to day. I'm just doing what they tell me. I'll be re-evaluated in the morning and then we'll go from there."The 30-year old Wallace has averaged 13.5 points per game and 6.1 rebounds per game in his career.  He can be a dominating presence in the post at times, but has the ability to play away from the basket.  The Nets are surely eager to see more of Wallace.  This is his first season in Brooklyn.  Wallace played for the Portland Trail Blazers last season and has played for four different teams throughout his 12-year career. The Nets are 4-2 so far on the season, so they've held their own without Wallace.  Of course, he can only help once he returns.  Brooklyn wants to make an impression in its first year in its new city.  A 4-2 record is a start, but they must maintain that success. Keith Bogans' hard foul on Leandro Barbosa

The screencaps on this Keith Bogans foul look worse than the GIF. Look, if Bogans snaps Leandro Barbosa’s neck, then we might be talking flagrant. He’s only holding Leandro’s neck to prevent him from crashing to the floor. That’s just tough Brooklyn Nets playoff basketball right there – in November. Comments from the Other Side - Nets 11/16

Two things are certain from the comments. Nets fans hate Courtney Lee. They don't like having more Celtics fans at their games than Nets fans.
