PLAYERS: Gerald Wallace
TEAMS: Brooklyn Nets
Brooklyn Nets starting small forward Gerald Wallace will be activated for tonight's game against the Sacremento Kings. Wallace sprained his ankle during the first game of the regular season and has since missed the remainder of the season thus far. The Nets PR announced his return on Twitter.Gerald Wallace will return to the lineup today after missing the last 6 games with a sprained left ankle.— Nets PR Dept. (@Nets_PR) November 18, 2012Wallace was signed this past off-season after being traded for by the Nets from Portland. With a four-year $40 million deal, many deem that to be a tad too much for an aging and athletically declining player. For the Nets, he means more to them than just his stats. He's become their key defender, and their leader. His return to the Nets is huge, considering their defensive deficiencies this season so far.In his tenure with the Nets last season, Wallace 15.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists. Fans should not expect 15 points from Wallace on average due to their newly revitalized offense squad. He does have the potential to bring in points in quiet bunches, which would only do more positive than negative for the Nets. Coming back to the team means a lot for a Nets team who seems to still be figuring things out defensively. LISTEN: Brook Lopez does “Silence of the Lambs” re-enactment on Boomer and Carton

Brook Lopez was on The Boomer and Carton show on Friday and the co-hosts asked him to do something that he’s probably never done while giving an interview. The Nets center was asked by the hosts to re-enact a famous scene from the 1991 film “Silence of the Lambs.” Lopez was asked to play the role of         the creepy Buffalo Bill. With that deep voice, if a remake is ever...
WEB OF INTRIGUE

Nets.com redirects to Knicks website

Before they left NJ for NYC, the Brooklyn Nets forgot to secure the rights to Nets.com, and this oversight has led to plenty of hijinks and shenanigans from Knicks fans.

Blatche powers Nets past Kings

Reserve forward Andray Blatche scored 22 points to lead the Brooklyn Nets to their fifth straight win, 99-90 over the struggling Sacramento Kings on Sunday. The Nets (6-2) matched the team's best start since the 2002-03 season when they went to the NBA finals, losing to San Antonio in six games. Deron Williams had 14 points and 10 assists for the Nets, whose longest winning...

Nets.com now redirects to the official website of the Knicks

At what point will the Brooklyn Nets finally give in and make an offer to purchase the website Nets.com? Every team in the NBA has a website that you can get to by punching in the team’s name, except the Nets. On Sunday night, a trip over to Nets.com conveniently redirected users to the New York Knicks All-Star voting ballot. Now, it simply takes you to the official website of...

Nets.com domain features NY Knicks website

Domain names. If you are a company either doing business on the internet, or looking to strengthen your brand via the internet, they are quite a big deal. That's what makes the domain name of the NBA's Brooklyn Nets -- while not the most popular sports team in the planet, certainly one that is known to the casual sports fan -- so interesting. Like every other NBA team...

Flopping Warnings - Evans and Martin

I had posted before that Reggie Evans needed to be warned for his flop from the Celtics game vs the Brooklyn Nets the other night. It was so obvious that the refs didn't even fall for it. Word came out from the NBA that he has been warned for it. Kind of restores a little faith in the officiating. Maybe. Kevin Martin has also been warned for a flop from the Thunder'...
