Found October 25, 2012 on Football Nation:
It's Week 8 in the NFL, which means that we are on the brink of the halfway point of the season. This is the time where we ought to have a pretty good handle on who is hot and who is not. But it has been an unusual year with lots of old faces in strange places and rookies running the show in their place. Is it mediocrity, parity, or something out of the Twilight Zone? Perhaps we will have an answer as we spill into the second half of 2012. Many teams have looked inconsistent at best, showing blow out power in one game and lackluster play in the next. And the New England Patriots have been one of those teams. No one doubts that Tom Brady can put up gaudy numbers and score more points than their defense allows. The same cannot be said for Sam Bradford, although he possesses similar talent to his more accomplished counterpart. This week's game will be a showdown between two tough teams, no doubt. But I don't think it will surprise anyone that I am favoring the Patriots in the...

Patriots QB Tom Brady, "We've Spoiled On Fans"

Considering that the New England Patriots have been the most dominant NFL team of the 2000's, you can understand why some fans are frustrated with a team currently only a game above .500. After the Pats overtime victory over the New York Jets, Tom Brady was being interviewed on WEEI "The Dennis & Callahan Show" and discussed the possibility that Pats fans have...

Are The Patriots Too Reliant on the Arm of Tom Brady?

Are the Patriots wins and losses still determined by how productive Tom Brady is under center this season?Large in part, yes if Brady has a **** game then things don't look good for us. But consider this:The Patriots are now carrying the 5th best rushing offense in the NFL, averaging about 149 yards per game between Ridley, Vereen, Woodhead, and Bolden. In comparison to the past...

Vote: How Many Passing Yards Will Sam Bradford Throw for in Sunday's Game Against the Patriots?

The Patriots secondary has been the brunt of recent coverage jokes, and rightfully so. The Pats have given up 290 yards of offense through the air per game, ranking them as the fourth-worst team in the NFL in that category. The three teams beneath them are the Saints, Buccaneers and Redskins, who have a combined record of 7-12. Yet, with all of their defensive woes, New England sits...

Eli Manning Deserves Top Clutch Quarterback Recognition, Possibly Surpassing Tom Brady Atop Totem Pole

While it hurts to fathom, especially from the eyes of a New England native, Eli Manning is undoubtedly the best clutch quarterback going right now in the NFL. Yes, Tom Brady led the Patriots to a comeback victory on Sunday over the hated Jets, but it marked the first time he had done so since the AFC title game last year against Baltimore. Most importantly, in...

RG3 has funny misspeak during interview

Washington Redskins rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III has proved to be a very mature, highly savvy young man that belies his age and experience, both on the field and off of it. But if he’s anything like most people — which is arguable — RG3 probably cringed after recently taking part in an interview with [...]

Rams hit the ground running in London

LONDON (AP) Things are moving quickly for Sam Bradford and the St. Louis Rams as they deal with a change of continents and time zones. Now their bodies just have to catch up in time for the annual NFL game in London on Sunday against the New England Patriots. The Rams (3-4) arrived at Heathrow airport early Tuesday morning, and a few hours later they were on a wet field in Regent...

Patriots’ 16th Straight Game With 350 Yards Ties Rams’ Record

FOX: The Patriots gained at least 350 yards for the 16th straight regular-season game, tying the St. Louis Rams of 1999-2000 for the most in NFL history. (Bottom of article) A.B. Everyone in New England seems to be down on the Patriots right now. The local radio stations are filled with calls about Tom Brady being too old, Belichick losing touch, the horrible secondary and even...

The New England Patriots Restricted Activities While In England

A.B. After the Tom Brady recently referred to the Patriots’ trip to London as being “all business”, I had to get my hands on Bill Belichick’s list of restricted activities. So, I sent my mole on a mission to infiltrate the very fortress that is Gillette Stadium, and bring back to me the details. Here’s what I found out: #1 – Julian Edelman is not allowed to rent a moped...

Patriots in Preparations for 'London Calling,' Seeking to Stop Rams Across the Pond

"London calling at the top of the dial, an' after all this, won't you give me a smile?" That line from the Clash's 1979 hit "London Calling," which you'll likely hear an inordinate amount until kickoff on Sunday, might have best summed up Patriots fans' feelings heading into this weekend's showdown just across the pond. A few early...

Will The Real New York Jets Please Stand Up?

The New York Jets will host the Miami Dolphins Sunday at the Meadowlands, which not only is another divisional game but also a "must win". Coming off a heartbreaking loss to the New England Patriots, the Jets need to win this game against the Dolphins and also I think shows what kind of team going forward the Jets are going to be and here's why. After playing their most...

Week 8 Sit ‘Em & Start ‘Em for the 2012-2013 Fantasy Football season by Koopafantasy. Have questions? Find me on Twitter: @Blackie_Mike Start ‘em: (STL) Sam Bradford vs. (NE) – There are only four teams on bye this week, and even fewer of them have good quarterbacks, but if you find yourself needing a QB to plug in this week hoping for some big numbers, Bradford might...

Hottest Girls Of The NFL: Week 8

Ready for another lackluster week of NFL action? Another NFC West Monday Night Football snoozer. Can’t wait to watch the 49ers beat the Cardinals 13-9. Give us the Cardinals +7 at home. We’re also going to have to put up with the nonsense about the NFL’s potential for London expansion this week as the Patriots and Rams square off at Wembley Stadium. No better way to invigorate...

People are starting to catch on to this game that the NFC West is playing with everybody. As soon as the talk arises of this division being the best in football, they combine to go 2-6 in two weeks. There are still three teams above .500, but after a couple of rough weeks, three teams are heading into this weekend as underdogs. All four squads are at their best with their backs against...

In The Red Zone – October 23

Despite Woes Patriots Defense Still Creates Turnovers We all have our feelings on the Patriots defense, especially the secondary and the gaping amount of yardage they yield.  But as a whole the New England defensive unit is among the league leaders in turnover ratio. They came into the Week 7 matchup with the New York Jets tied for first with a plus 10. The offense had given up...

Wheels up! Rams must put loss to Packers behind them

At the end of Tim Shields' latest Anatomy of a Play feature, Tim Ryan remarks of Sam Bradford's pinpoint throw to Lance Kendricks: "A great throw will beat great coverage every time." Unfortunately, those words foretold the Rams' doom against Aaron Rodgers, who when on is as good as any passer to ever play the game.  Rodgers has found his ON switch the...
