A highly intriguing match-up between to top welterweight competitors in Carlos Condit and Matt Brown has been officially added to the UFC on FOX 9 card on December 9th. The news was first revealed by Mike Chiappetta of FOX Sports.
This match-up is undoubtedly the biggest opportunity of Matt Brown’s professional career. Once considered simply a journeyman in the UFC, Brown is now riding a 6-fight win streak that includes upset wins over Mike Swick, Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson, Jordan Mein and Mike Pyle. If he could pick up a victory over former interim champion Carlos Condit, it would certainly mean a potential title-shot for the Ohio-native.
After suffering back-to-back losses to Georges St-Pierre and Johny Hedricks, Condit rebounded with a win over Martin Kampmann.
