Found September 24, 2013 on BirdsFan.com - A Philadelphia Eagles...:
It’s been a crazy three weeks in the NFL. If you told me before the season started that the Eagles would have the same record as San Fransisco, Green Bay, and Atlanta after the first three weeks, I’d think that was incredible. However, those three teams are not where I thought they would be in the season. One thing I did believe was that the NFC East would not be a strong conference. This was a common feeling among NFL fans. Needless to say, the teams of the NFC East have not failed to disappoint. The division contains four teams that combine for a whopping three wins. Two of those wins were pretty much forced due to division games. There aren’t ties in the NFL, right Donovan? Anyway, this all setup very well for an Eagles team that had a ton of questions coming into the season. They really kicked up the excitement when they opened against the Redskins and we really got to see what that high octane Chip Kelly offense was capable of. After the early jolt, the Birds have slow...

Chip Kelly’s Eagles offense isn’t sustainable in the NFL with Michael Vick as his quarterback… so sell high

Everyone jumped on the Philadelphia Eagles bandwagon after the Week 1 performance against the Washington Redskins and I’ll be the first to admit it was hard not to buy in to what Chip Kelly brought with him from Oregon. After watching the Eagles play three games now, the offense continues to get worse and Michael Vick is starting to look like an old man. After that first week we...

Faster doesn't mean more for Eagles

The purpose of Chip Kelly's fast-paced offense is to run as many plays as possible in the shortest amount of time to maximize scoring potential. It worked for two quarters. Since cramming 53 plays into the first half of their season opener, the Philadelphia Eagles have run 145 plays in the last 10 quarters. Not coincidentally, they beat Washington 33-27 in Week 1 and lost the...

An Open Letter To Chip Kelly

We at Eagles Faithful are a blog for the people. Every now and then, we will take the time to let our twitter followers write something that they are truly passionate about. In this case, Nate Allen. Good friend of the blog, and the whole Philly Faithful team, is @JasonAAV. Jason has been very outspoken about his disdain for Eagles safety Nate Allen. After the Chargers game, Allen’s...

Chip Kelly to Peyton Manning: ‘We’ll Go Play In A Parking Lot’

Chip Kelly wants Peyton Manning to know that regardless of how much rest the Broncos and Eagles have gotten, the two teams can get it on anywhere. After Monday nights victory over the Raiders, Manning called out the NFL for what he perceived as preferential scheduling for the Eagles. “We’re coming off of a short week — it’s nice of the NFL to give Philly 12 days and give...

Key Factors in Eagles Making the Playoffs

After an inspirational and action packed season opener, the Eagles have been simmering down after two consecutive loses to both the Chargers and the Chiefs. Chip Kelly’s college style rush offense has been ripping right through NFL caliber defenses. Players are cramping up and playing off fake injuries just to slow down the incredible pace of the eagles offense. No one can stop...

Eagles still need to find their QB for the future

It has only been three games so it’s hard to get a gauge on whether Chip Kelly’s offense truly represents the next wave or if it’s a gimmick that will eventually fade away. For now it’s clear that the purpose of Kelly’s offense is to hide the inadequacies of the Eagles’ defense. Maybe that will change once the Eagles get better players on defense especially in the secondary...

NFL Computerized Power Ranks: Week 3

We have our first new #1 of the season, the Kansas City Chiefs!  Even though the former #1 Dolphins got the win this week over Atlanta, the Chiefs dominance on defense edged them ahead.  The Seahawks expected domination of Jacksonville left them at #3, while the Bears moved up to #4 as the Patriots fell to #5. On the bottom side of things, the NFC East is having a rough year, but...

Philadelphia Eagles: 2013 Week 4 NFL Power Rankings (#23)

Last week: 20 (-3) With the exception of the first half against the Redskins, one of the worst defenses in the NFL, the Eagles’ have really not played that well this season. I still believe in Chip Kelly as an NFL coach, but there’s only so much he can do given how bad their defense is and how flawed Michael Vick is as a quarterback. They aren’t moving the ball as well as they...
