Playoffs: 5-3  REGULAR SEASON: 168-86-1 (66%) Def. I can't believe I'm making this selection, but I just have a feeling the Ravens are on that kind of roll the Giants had last year. The return of many players including Ray Lewis has really rejuvenated this team. I don't have a big write-up on this one because logic does indeed point to the Patriots. I just feel the Ravens going to the Superbowl after this game is over. Joe Flacco and Smith better keep that deep ball connection going, and they probably will be able to against this secondary. I see that as the key in this one. Def. If you even saw one quarter of the 49ers game last week, this selection is almost a no-brainer for you. What they were able to do on offense is something you'd never expect out of a defensive team like San Francisco. It shows you that they are able to win a defensive struggle just as well as a shootout. That is something that can't really be said for many...

Baltimore hotel honors Ray Lewis with laser light show (Video)

Last Friday night, the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel paid tribute to Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, who is retiring from the NFL at the end of the team's postseason run, with a laser light show on the front of the hotel. Between 5:30pm and 9pm, the laser images displayed across 15 floors of the building, alternating between the number 52 and an animated version of Lewis...

Baltimore Police Does Ray Lewis Dance and Taunts Patriots (VIDEO)

Since Omar is no longer walking the streets of Baltimore, the Baltimore Police Department appears to have a lot of time on their hands. Ray Lewis has always said Baltimore was his city, and the Baltimore Police Department wants you to know they have his back. This Sunday will be a rematch of last year’s AFC Championship game. The Ravens will have to go through Tom Brady and the...

Boston Billboard Counting Down the Days to Ray Lewis’ Retirement Party (Photo)

I have to admit this is pretty funny. I don’t think the game will be a blow out, the Ravens and Patriots always play close games. If the Ravens win this will be a lot of wasted money.

Boston Wants To Throw Ray Lewis A Party

More specifically, a retirement party. Everyone please meet in the conference room after the AFC Championship Game for refreshments and a farewell speech. Ray Lewis will then be presented with a nice send-off gift, like a diamond-studded bowie knife. Though if the Ravens win, that could make things a touch awkward. Dare I say this is “bulletin board material”? Can you fit a billboard...

James ‘Raven Manic’ Long Has Best NFL Fan Haircut Of 2013

Ravens fans are getting ready for what might be Ray Lewis’ last game in purple and black. Heading to New England isn’t going to be a cakewalk but Ravens superfan James Long doesn’t seem to be letting that get to him. We’ll say it right now. He has the best fan haircut of 2013. Yes, we realize it’s only January. The detail. The effort. Everything about this haircut is awesome...

Lookin’ Good, Ravens Maniac

A man with the Twitter handle @RavenManiac is swept up with the fever that only the playoffs and Ray Lewis’ farewell to bionic arms can bring. With only a little hair dye, a clipper and some bath salts, you too can be a Ravens Maniac with a bird face for a skull. I suppose it’s also possible he’s a big fan of the old “Battle of the Planets” cartoon series. I have my doubts...

Joe Flacco: Can’t win with him, without him?

The Baltimore Ravens will find themselves in a dilemma at the end of the season; what to do with quarterback Joe Flacco? Flacco is in a contract year and will surely command big money if the Ravens decide the re-sign him. The problem is that whether or not Flacco is the future of the Ravens and deserves a big contract is easily debatable. At 6-6, 245 lbs, Joe Flacco has ideal stature...

AFC Championship Game Preview & Prediction

With one of the greatest playoff weekends in the books, we now look forward to Championship weekend. We already looked at the NFC and now we bring our attention to the AFC. Can Ray Lewis continue leading the Ravens when no one’s giving them a chance? Or will Tom Brady and company steamroll their way to New Orleans? On Sunday, we will find out. But, in the meantime, here’s my...

Baltimore Police Department Makes Tribute Video To The Ravens

This video from the Baltimore Police Department contains some pretty funny stuff.  They made a tribute video with a woman cop rapping, and some pretty bad Ray Lewis dancing impressions.  Things are heating up for the match-up on Sunday night between the Ravens and the Patriots.  First we had the billboard counting down to Ray Lewis' retirement party.  Now Baltimore cops are...

Baltimore Ravens: Five Reasons They Will Lose the AFC Title Game

I remember it like it was yesterday. With 1:44 left on the clock, Joe Flacco drove his Ravens down the field with methodical purpose-- 2nd-and-1 from the 14, he promptly hit Lee Evens right in the hands for the apparent go-ahead touchdown. Knocked away by Sterling Moore. We all know what happened after that. Billy Cundiff's shanked 32-yard field goal crushed the Ravens'...

Flacco, Ryan seek fans' respect

It's Week 5 and the Baltimore Ravens just moved into sole possession of first place in the AFC North with a 9-6 win in Kansas City. The defense played well, the running game was solid, and the victory marks the team's fourth win in five games. But the locals aren't thrilled. The national media is starting to pile on. Fantasy football owners are stressing out. Joe Flacco...

Ravens at Patriots: 5 Keys to Prepare for an AFC Championship Win

The New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens have become familiar foes in recent years. In their nine meetings to date, the Patriots appear to have a significant advantage with a 7-2 record. But it is the more recent games that are troubling:In their lone meeting during the 2012 season, the Ravens squeezed by the Patriots by a single point. At the end of the 2011 season, the...

Patriots expect plenty of downfield shots from Ravens' offense

The New England Patriots' defensive backs will earn their paychecks Sunday.New England will be up against one of the NFL's most prolific downfield passing attacks in the Baltimore Ravens, who the Patriots will host in the AFC Championship game. “It is a big job this week to try and prevent that deep ball," Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib said Wednesday, via Patriots...
