The Buffalo Bills have pulled no punches in their plans to address the quarterback position at the NFL Draft. They have brought in nine draft eligible quarterbacks for pre-draft visits and have left no stone unturned in their in the evaluations and preparations for next week’s draft.
One of those quarterbacks who came into town for a visit over the past three weeks was former Florida State QB E.J. Manuel. He was on the Dan Patrick Show on Wednesday morning and talked about his pre-draft visits and what teams he felt good about.
“I feel really good about the Philadelphia Eagles, I feel really good about the Buffalo Bills, I feel really good about the New York Jets,” Manuel said. “I met with even more teams than that, but those are some of the teams I feel really confident in. I know they need quarterbacks, I know they want quarterbacks, they have brand new coaching staffs and things like that, so they want a fresh start. They want an energetic kind of quarterback to come in and play.”
It’s unlikely that the Bills would target Manuel at eight as he is valued as a 2nd-3rd pick, but until they make the pick on April 25th know one knows for sure what they will do.

If the old eye ball test was taken into account, Manuel passes them all. He has a strong arm, stands 6’5, has a huge frame, and he can run. Greg Cosell said it and I believe it, Manuel is the only QB who will be able to run the read option that is coming out of this draft. Throughout...

Take away the Florida State bias and the idea that a three-hour drive from Tallahassee to Jacksonville is virtually like being in your own backyard. Losing out on the Emmanuel Sanders sweepstakes leaves the Patriots with just one more need they’ll now need to address come draft weekend.
There was a good chance the Patriots would find a receiver at some point on draft day when Sanders was still a possibility, but now that he’s out the pressure to find a playmaker only increases.
Fortunately for Tom Brady and company, this...
