Queen City Sports:
The day is finally here.
The NFL draft is upon us, and to many, it’s one of the best nights of the year to NFL fans. It’s also the last day for people to give out their mock drafts and thoughts on where each team is going to go with each pick. But no matter who says what, the predictions of the picks are a crapshoot, as it’s been called, at best.
That even goes for the great minds here at Queen City Sports. But, a mock draft is going to be done anyway so without any further adieu , here is the final six round Buffalo Bills mock draft courtesy of Ryan Talbot.

Round 1- Matt Barkley, QB, USC
If Geno Smith is available at 8, he’s my pick. After that, I truly don’t know. I’ve flip-flopped on the other QBs here. Nassib has the familiarity, Barkley the experience against the highest level of competition and Manuel, the highest ceiling. Nix has taken a lot of ACC players in his tenure with the Bills, I believe more than SEC players so I really wanted to write Manuel here. Instead, I stuck with my head and Barkley.
Round 2- Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
He’s that “WR that’s open even when he’s not” that Buddy Nix was talking about. His production, size (6’4″) and speed (4.44 40-yard dash) are all qualities that make him appealing to the Bills. Hunter is climbing a lot of boards and I’ve seen DeAndre Hopkins falling a bit. Hopkins is one of my favorites in this draft, so I’d be thrilled if it were Hopkins.
Round 3- Phillip Thomas, FS, Fresno St.
Pettine doesn’t designate his safeties so Thomas could be on the field the same time as Byrd. I was tempted to take Shamarko Thomas here too, but like Thomas much more.
Round 4- Zaviar Gooden, OLB, Missouri
Versatile enough to play Will LB in a 4-3 or ILB in a 3-4. A wildly underrated prospect in my opinion.
Round 5- Alvin Bailey, OG, Arkansas
Bailey has plenty of potential as an offensive guard in the NFL. I’m not saying he could start right away in Buffalo, but he could compete for the job. He played against plenty of great players in the SEC and was one of the few bright spots on Arkansas’ offensive line.
Round 6- Ryan Griffin, TE, Connecticut
One of two pre-draft TE’s that the Bills brought in for a visit. Dane Brugler of CBSSports and NFL Draft Scout believes that Griffin is a very underrated TE in this draft class. He’s an excellent blocker, strong route runner and good hands. Playing on one of the worst offenses in college didn’t help his draft stock but I believe he’ll be a solid pro TE.
