Found March 23, 2012 on Waiting For Next Year:

The Browns are certainly putting in their homework on the outside linebacker position as it appears they’re planning for life after (or without) Scott Fujita. They are also, apparently looking to get faster and more athletic at the spot as they are set to meet with West Virginia’s Bruce Irvin. Aaron Wilson of has the report.

West Virginia outside linebacker-defensive end Bruce Irvin has a busy schedule with upcoming visits with the Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Carolina Panthers, Tennessee Titans and the Kansas City Chiefs, according yo a league source with knowledge of the situation.

The 6’3″ 245 pounder is fast (4.5 in the 40 yard dash) and has played both outside linebacker and some defensive end with his hand on the ground. He isn’t without risks though. After an impressive Combine, Irvin was arrested on a Saturday night in Morgantown for allegedly beating up on a helpless sign at Jimmy John’s. The 24-year old faces destruction of property charges.

The Browns have been content to take chances on guys with character issues after interviewing them.

Rams GM: Browns’ offer for RG3 not “every bit the offer that was chosen,” Browns front office not good at following instructions

Rams GM Les Snead thought it was important to correct the record after Mike Holmgren’s conference call with Browns season ticket holders last week where Holmgren stated that the Browns offer to the Rams for the draft pick that would have allowed them to select Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III was “every bit the offer that was chosen.” Holmgren also said that St. Louis...

Browns DT trolls airplane passenger

Browns DT Phil Taylor is a big dude who needs some space when he sits on an airplane, even if it's at the expense of one of his fellow travelers.

Cleveland Browns Linebacker should avoid bounty penalty

Cleveland Browns linebacker Scott Fujita should avoid suspension in the New Orleans Saints bounty investigation because he has been least in public. One of the reasons that Sean Payton and other members of the Saints coaching staff got hammered by Roger Goodell was the cover up and not the crime. In recent public interviews Scott Fujita has said he paid other players...

NFL Draft: My Cleveland Browns dream scenario

First of all, this is supposed to be at least somewhat realistic, so take that draft day trade with the Colts out of your minds. That isn’t even remotely possible, so I’m not going to entertain it. By the way, neither is Robert Griffin III dropping to the Browns. With that, I think it is important to look at how big this draft is going to be in a non-abstract kind of way. So...

Browns finding the quarterback last?

By Fred GreethamOBR Senior I was out with Barry McBride (Digital Content Manager for Fox Sports Ohio and OBR Publisher) recently and we were talking Browns over lunch.
